Dog grooming is not exact and l so wish it was.
Dogs are like humans and particularly children.
They have feelings and behaviours just like every one of us.
Some are go with the flow and l will let you do anything with me even though l don't like it.
Some are no way am l going to make this easy for you.
Some are no way l don't like that,and l will pull away.
Some are no way l don't like that, and l will bite you if you try.
Some are l am terrified, l will shake and tremble but lets get the job done.

So l can't get the same results for everyone. This is just fact.

I wish l could.

I like to work with people who understand this.

If you are a perfection is your game, l am probably not the groomer for you.

So let's all have a little love for each other and recognise the hard work that goes into getting your dog groomed and appreciated the little things in life. The unconditional love your dog gives you and not just how he or she looks.

Because no one is perfect, not even your dog!

This big girl graced my presence on Friday for her first groom in my trailer.
These dogs are so incredibly smart. They are taller than a human when standing on there back legs and weigh about 60 kg average.
In my experience they are so laid back and easy to deal with they just jump in trailer then jump in the bath and appear to enjoy the pampering.
Such a pleasure to work with these gentle giants.🥰😍

Did you know Labradors need deshedding?
This was a Labrador l completed a deshed on today.
There is a huge amount of undercoat in the bath.
This dog drops large amounts of fur constantly deshedding helps to reduce the amount of hair that is left around the house.

Today was spaniel day!
Such a pleasure to start the day with a traditional groom for a beautiful springer spaniel and then follow on with a treasured family pet cocker spaniel, who has a shave to make his care easy for his busy mum of two.

This little lady is a poodle cross, her owner likes her to have a long groom so in between grooms she has a wash this her after 4 weekly wash and tidy she did not have a full groom.

We Wash and tidy in between her grooms to try and keep her coat knot free so l can provide a longer cut at her full groom.

Many clients don't realise how important brushing is for the oodles breeds. If you don't brush and don't have regularly washes it is likely the dog will have many knots and the development of matt's and the hair also becomes compressed or impacted.

Unfortunately when this happens there is no choice but to shave the dog as the clippers simply can not cut the hair.

I love grooming these precious pups but l will always do what is right for you dog not what might be the most trendy or beautiful option.

Happy New Year everyone! I am looking forward to seeing you all in 2024 Thank you for an awesome year that has now passed. Our Xmas didn't go to plan and due to our little grandson being in hospital in Brisbane iand unable to come home for his first Xmas we left Xmas night and travelled for 3 days to Brisbane to spend 5 nights with our daughter and her family. l have had to extend my Xmas break by a couple of days to travel home and get ready to return to work, so my first day back for 2024 is now Friday 5th January. Thank you to everyone l have contacted to reschedule appointments for your understanding it is really appreciated. Family is extremely important. Wishing you all a safe and happy New Year for 2024.
