🐎 Lara - registered name High stakes Miss Chevious (Lara) paint horse born 2018 at Hilltop Horsemanship to be started undersaddle.
A huge focus at Hilltop Horsemanship is to build a horses confidence which in turn leaves them relaxed with different tasks and environments. Lara concludes her starting under saddle with us this week and leaves relaxed - especially around all things desentization.

🐴 Further education under saddle - Maui (registered name Skyeblu Demigod) PHAA - 5 year old gelding.
Maui has returned to Hilltop Horsemanship for some further education. An area which has been identified for further education is hacking out with other horses - to assit to continue to build his confidence.
Video shows parts of multiple farm rides with other horses. Maui traverling forward in a variety of positions within the group.

Hacking out around the farm allows horses to become comfortable to new environments well gaining all important time under saddle.

Hacking out on farm rides are benifical in our training especially our OTT horses as it encourages them to relax in their new ridden career along with exposing the to different surrounds. Farm rides allow for exposure to open spaces, cattle, bush areas and other horses.

🐴 Jarrah- an raced stb mare (race name Paris Scene ) at Hilltop Horsemanship for education under saddle.
It has been identified that Jarrah has a training gap with things (bikes/riders/objects) coming from behind. This has in the past resulted in her running forward. The tyre drag is a great way to assit this response- it can be done in a controlled manner with reward to the horse when a relaxed forward achieved.

Jarrah arrived for some further education under saddle as her owner has identified some training gaps. One main training gap identified was Jarrah not offering/maintaining a trot under saddle. Through building balance on the ground and rewarding attempts at trot in the arena she has progressed to offering a trot and maintaining it for longer periods of time.

🐴 Jagger- an unraced stb gelding (race name Rightsrollsandrules ) at Hilltop Horsemanship for education under saddle then will be offered for sale.
Jagger's beautiful nature is continuing to shine as he progresses through his ridden education. His finding his balance offering the trot on most occassions and has begun hacking out of the arena gaining important time under saddle and exposure.

🐴 Fox - un-named stb mare is At Hilltop Horsemanship for further education under saddle/exposure.
Fox has been with us for just over a week with a focus been on building her confidence and exposing her to a variety of new experiences - including leading another horse and working amongst cows. Fox is showing signs of being more relaxed in these settings offering relaxation through her back, releases (lick/chew) along with other changes.

🐎 Madeleine ( race name Sanguine Esse) unraced 2019 stb mare.
Madeleine completed a trail ride in the company of three other horses. She was exposed to open spaces, dirt roads, traffic and water. Happily traverling behind and infront of other horses.

EOI for Madeleine welcomed via Inbox. She is a lovely kind young horse with potential and an relaxed willing temprament.
Hilltop Horsemanship offers lessons focusing on confidence, control and Horsemanship skills. These lessons cover both groundwork skills and ridden work. Each lesson is tailored to help owners/riders upskill and become more clear with their training.

🐎 Madeleine ( race name Sanguine Esse) unraced 2019 stb mare.
The focus of Madeleine's education has now started to include exposure. Exposure to a variety of environment's and task is super important as a horse transitions to a ridden career. It helps build confidence under saddle.

HSES Freya - 8 yr old stockhorse mare is avaliable for a companion/in hand home.
HSES Freya is a lovely mare who is great to handle on the ground. Easy to catch and paddocks well with other horses (she has paddocked with mares and geldings no issue)
Low maintenance currently on grass and minimal hay - upto date with worming and farrier.
Her groundwork is solid - lunge, disengage, flexion ect along with the introduction to basic desentization/obstacles.
Would be suitable for companionship, equine therapy/in hand work.

Madeleine has become comfortable with her groundwork and ridden work in the arena so has commenced farm rides. Exposure and time under saddle is an important part of our re-education program setting our horses up with confidence in thier job after racing. She is a lovely mare who enjoys the company of people along with a real willingness to learn.

Sully is at Hilltop Horsemanship for his second preparation for starting under saddle.
Sully continues to make progress and has begun hacking out alone and in company. (This is important for his exposure as he will be used as a trail riding horse) relaxed and confident with his ridden work. His owner is being rewarded for thier patience and willingness to address small areas as they appear. His become super relaxed and has a clear understanding of his ridden career - starting to meet us at the gate.

🐎 Silver 10year old Arab gelding.
One of the areas Silver has required some confidence to be built is hacking out. He often would spook or become worried about new things or changes in the surrounds. There are significant improvements following from ground work focusing on leadership and some new exercises which have been used to help minimise worry as he hacks out - all which will be taught to his owner across a number of lessons.

🐎 George raced as Rocksareflyin a 2017 stb gelding.
George has been at Hilltop Horsemanship for 3 weeks with a focus on improving his balance undersaddle along with exposure. His shown anxiousness and reactiveness to loud machinery (tractors/bobcat/stock crate) so sessions both on the ground and under saddle have been completed well in the presence of such machinery.

HSES Bella QH cross- 5 year old mare approx 14.3hh. ⭐️
Started under saddle over two preparations, allowing for her to mentally adjust to a ridden career. Easy to handle - meets you at the gate most days.
Lovely groundwork skills - lunge/back up/disengage of hind ect. Safe to mount and can be ridden bareback. Hacked out with 1 other horse and/or alone around the farm and in the bush.
Best suited to a trail riding or farm riding home. She will work in an arena but isn't a dressage/show jumping prospect.
Will require a rider with confidence to continue her consolidation of ridden training.
Price $2500 with a good home with a suitable rider the most important.

A variety of sessions for HSES Bella this week from hacking out around the farm through to obstacles. She is a lovely mare to have around and would suite a farm/trail riding home.

🐎 Futher education undersaddle. Bos stb gelding (raced as I Hope ICan)
Boss is with us at Hilltop Horsemanship to further his ridden education. It has been identified he lacks confidence on occassions when out trail riding along with having some training gaps around the trot. Along with arena work which is helping his balance and understanding of the trot he has been hacked out allowing for exposure and to keep him engaged in his ridden work.
