It's SUPER important to know your dog.
Today we had thunderstorms. While Sally is fine, Copper, as usual, is a little nervous. He likes to get up high when he is scared. So that's what I let him do, as long as he is safe.
Some dogs like to be held tight and there are a lot of products, such as specially made jackets, that can help.
If i cannot be at home, and know storms are approaching, i make sure they are inside with food puzzles, and time consuming treats that help keep them distracted.

Sometimes when the weather is unseasonably crap, it can be hard to entertain the dogs. I find even taking them with me when I have to do a long drive is stimulating enough for them. I always pack lunch, water and leads.
Make sure your dog's are secured correctly. It's safety, and the law.

Jet was arrogant, stubborn, and a bit of a jerk. He was also, loyal, loving, and our daughters first word.
