Have you been doing your homework?

We get asked a lot about what groom would be best suited to each dog. But truly, its more about your style preference, free time and budget. We could groom a beautiful hand scissor Groodle but for a dog that swims on the weekend, goes camping and has parents working full time with no time to brush at home, its really not practical (Time/style factor). We could see the dog weekly to keep them maintained (Budget factor). We could keep the dog shorter requiring a little less maintenance and see them monthly (Style preference). Maybe the dog doesn't like being brushed at all and its best for it to be kept nice and short (Style preference).

Others love the bonding time and enjoy spending a few hours a week brushing their dog, only visiting us 6-8 weekly. We could even keep them in a long coat through winter with fortnightly washes and short in summer. The possibilities are endless!

But remember each groom style has different up keep requirements. If you're unsure what your pooch needs to maintain their groom style have a chat with us at their next appointment.
