Very sweet face

PUMBA NEEDS YOUR HELP 💔

As you can imagine, shelter life is hard, overwhelming and lonely. It’s especially heart-breaking for dogs like Pumba, who crave nothing more than a comforting touch and a safe place to rest his weary head 😞

Since the day Pumba walked through our doors, he has been waiting. Waiting for a family, waiting for a home, waiting for someone to see him for who he is. His hopeful eyes and scarred face reflecting the hard life he has left behind.

But despite his rough start, Pumba continues to find joy in the little things. Gentle pats, leisurely strolls, and afternoons spent snoozing in the warm sun. Taking solace in the fact that someone is there for him—even if only for a moment 🙌

Sadly, Pumba’s extended time in care has started to take its toll. So, whether it’s time in foster care, or into a loving home he can call his own, Pumba needs help—now, more than ever.

We know this patient and deserving soul will is destined to be someone’s loyal, loving best friend. He just needs a little help to get there. Will you be the one to give him that chance? ❤️

NO MORE ENQUIRIES. Thank you for your many enquiries, we are confident Birdie's family is in there somewhere.

Are you looking for a baby Birdie in your life?

Female Chihuahua, 7 years, located Canberra.

Birdie has all the pizzazz of a Chihuahua. She is HILARIOUS, playful, great with people, other dogs, kids and generally a terribly social little character. Doesn't bark, is great on a leash, good in the car and if you hold her up to your ear like a seashell, you can hear her chatting quietly to you about how she is feeling. Very easy to misplace, but if you hear a pile of polarfleece let out a tiny sneeze, you've found her. Likes to wave her front paws around wildly like she is playing the piano and is quite theatrical.

Birdie will fit in anywhere. She'll be fine with another gentle dog or solo if you are home more often than not and are happy to include her in your life. Probably not very small children, but only because she is a TINY 2kg and would be easily damaged.

There is only one issue, her housetraining is a work in progress. Having been caged for 7 years, she was never shown how. She will now hang on while I'm at work and once she has found 'her spot', she'll happily go when you take her outside. Finishing it off will be easy for someone who doesn't work full time, she is very smart (and funny).

Birdie is the best of her breed, she isn't anxious or bitey and is a total delight. Chihuahuas are tiny magical beings and breed experience will be preferred, they are funny little creatures.

If you are interested in adopting Birdie, go to our website and tell us about the home you can offer her. www.deniseatpaws.com.au/contact-us

Birdie is desexed, microchipped and vaccinated and has no known medical issues. A house check and adoption fee will apply.

Introducing Sydney’s resident tiger, Force Field 🐯

After finding himself in care through no fault of his own, Force Field is on the lookout for a family who will love him for who he is. He is an intelligent and social gentleman who enjoys nothing more than chin scratch, a nice spot in the sun and a good conversation 😌

Force Field, like most Bengals, is extremely loyal. He loves to climb and his ability to jump often finds him ending up in some odd places. Most of the time you will hear him before you see him and as an extremely vocal little man will often meow for attention or to simply tell you about his day… as well as everything else that is going on in his life 📣

With Kitten Season seeing a huge increase in the numbers of cats and kittens that come through our doors, finding homes for cats like Force Field helps us make space for those less fortunate or who may require a little more of a helping hand 🐈

While Bengals do require a little more commitment than some other cats, if you are able to provide the affection, attention and conversation Force Field needs, he is guaranteed to return the favour in leaps and bounds (and yells) ❤️

💗💗MOTLEY 4 AND LUCY 3 ARE READY FOR THEIR NEW HOME.

These two little pugs are great companions to each other and their carer. Lucy is a little more sure of herself and settled in immediately to the foster home, whereas Motley took a few days to be at home in the apartment. They will need access to a yard in their forever home and will do better with human company a significant amount of time. They are fine with children but would usually hang with the grown ups.

The pair quickly adapted to regular trips to the grass outside and have settled in to a routine of toileting first thing in the morning, before breakfast, and a very short walk, repeated in the late afternoon. Walking on a lead was new to them but they soon took to it and began enjoying their sniffing.

Lucy and Motley have had successful surgery to their nostrils, soft pallet, throat, and larynx, the surgery was done by Dr Andrew at the Small Animal Specialist Hospital. They are breathing more easily and enjoying a fuller life now that the surgery has been done.
They enjoy a game with soft toys, especially ones that squeak.

Trips to a local leash free park and a dog beach were really successful. They socialise with other dogs of all sizes calmly, but don’t engage in games with them yet.

They currently both eat a gastro friendly kibble and soft food mix as a result of some tummy upsets. This may have been due to stress from the change of environment and two big surgeries each. As with all pugs they enjoy their food and Lucy can consume her food and be ready to push in on Motley’s bowl in record time. They need to eat in separate areas as Motley eats quite slowly.

The girls suffer from dry eyes and accept twice daily eye bathing and medication well.

They love cuddles with their humans but when none are available will cuddle up to each other. They are so loving and adorable. I know whoever takes these adorable dogs in will have years of joy with them. Motley and Lucy will do well in a home with someone who isn't out everyday.

Motley and Lucy are a bonded pair and will only be rehomed together in NSW or Canberra. If you are interested in adopting the girls please fill in our application form giving us lots of information regarding the home you may be able to offer them. https://www.deniseatpaws.com.au/contact-us

An adoption fee will apply
