New gallery pages containing examples of my work, leather colours, hardware and bead options.

Leatherwork classes - Have you ever wanted to get into leatherwork but don't know where to start? I am now offering select leatherwork classes starting December 2024 for plaiting, belt making, marble dying and coming in 2025 knife sheaths and small bag or coin purse.

Shop - You can order your belts, plaited dog lead or collar and securely pay with credit card or paypal. I also have other items for sale of work that I have completed.

Completed commissions this week.

I was asked to cover two copper bracelets - one is done as a long turk head knot, the other marble dyed.

5 show leads done as a breeder set.

Whoo hoo...After a week of nearly pulling all my hair out. The basic framework is up on the new website.

I think this version is take 4 due to my earlier issues I think were user error in navigating a different plugin for wordpress.🤦‍♀️

There have been some long days sitting at the computer redesigning this website in wordpress. I have moved away from Square due to limits in functionality.

Still a ways to go and some tweaking to do, but finally I am feeling more comfortable about the very long hours spent.

The shop page is still yet to be written and configured.

Bling My Leather will be at Maleny this Friday and Saturday at the Maleny Handmade & Artisan Markets Pre Christmas Festival.

Overnight duffle bag finished.

Made using bovine leather, embossed with aligator print. Hand dyed red natural vegetable tanned leather highlights and stitched in matching red thread.

Fully lined with super soft fabric.

Update 27/7: I have just found out, it is the first year a cross stitch or quilt has not won the Grand Champion.

A project of love. This little corset bag has taken up nearly all waking moments over the last two weeks.

Some very long 12+ hours hand stitching this together. Going to bed at 2am to get it finished in time. I think I’ve worked out over 120hrs work.

Made from natural vegetable tanned leather, hand dyed and fully hand stitched. (Exception is fabric inner lining).

The lace at the top of the bag is actual leather. All hand punched and cut to give a lace appearance.

Current bag project coming along. 10 days in with some extremely long days sewing.

Pieces like this with the intricate detail don’t get made in a matter of hours or a day. There have been days starting around 8am and falling into bed at midnight.

This is or will be a hand bag, shaped like a corset.

The main bag is 5-6oz natural vege tan dyed Fiebings Pro Red and black.

It is 100% hand stitched with a lot more stitching to go.
