Yarn bag/wide open mouth bag

This wide open mouth bag is perfect for that. Sometimes used by crotchet or knitting folk, these bag offer stylish and practical storage if your project while on the go.

Made from full grain red dragon scale bovine leather and lined in red/orange tones, this bag is sure to turn heads.

Measurements: 29cm wide, 10cm tall and 10cm deep.

Large leather tote.

I am helping a new leather worker get into the craft. So this week was pattern testing a bag pattern they bought.

Japanese embossed full grain upper.
Red crazy horse base.
Hand stitched the top section to the base with solid brass Chicago screws on the end folds.

Testing out a pattern a student bought bought from Etsy and is coming in for help. (Some Etsy patterns are a bit suss).

Pattern Modifications:
Changed the Sam Brown fitting on the over strap to a magnetic closure.
Added bag feet.
Added an internal pocket to the lining
Added a key strap to the inside of the bag
Added an overall bag zip to the bag.

Totally custom lead.

Beads are artisan hand made from Clare Scott in the United Kingdom

6 strand lead, purple foil, Moroccan purple and copper foil with rose gold clip.

All ready for postage to Victoria.

Total custom made case for my hand held y-knot leather splitter.

Made from Chahin 5mm bridle leather. Hand awl stitched in the traditional way.

Dragon bag finished and ready to be posted to Sydney.

Made from full grain blue “Crazy Horse” leather imported directly from Italy with tan “Pueblo” Italian dragon.

Fully hand stitched and lined in a beautiful blue fabric.

Sydney Royal Show:

This year I entered some leatherwork into Sydney Royal Easter Show for the first time. So happy to have my work displayed and achieve a highly commended and a 1st place against such high quality work from the other exhibts.

Shell Bag: High Distinction
Dog Armour: 1st Place.

Thank you to Silvia who forwarded me these photos last night from the Arts & Crafts Preview Night. Congratulations to the other exhibitors, there is seriously some amazing pieces there.

This Shell Bag is dedicated to the memory of my father who passed away in February while I was making it. The Dog Armour is dedicated to the memory of my best friend, Chelle who lost her battle with Cancer two days ago.

Thank you also to the Show sponsors, Staff at Sydney Royal and everyone else for making this all possible.

On the weekend, I ventured out to Clifton Whipcracking and Whipplaiting championships, sponsored by Packer Leather.

"Shelly" came 1st in the "any other leather item" on the day.
