"TOP STOREY" WRITER'S RETREATS

I've recently opened up a lovely space on the top storey of my home in Stanwell Park for writers/creators who want a tranquil, nourishing space to get a really good run at their project.

Your writing desk is under a window looking out on a wall of green, (a littoral rainforest). It's a super comfortable space for either solo or pair - come alone for total peace or bring a friend to keep you honest!.

The private space includes 2 queen bedrooms, stylish bathroom (with extra large bath) plus a large spacious loft style living room with table, desk, couch, internet and TV. There is also a rudimentary hotel style food preparation area, small fridge, microwave, airfryer, sandwich maker etc.

I'll include staples, bread, butter and tea/coffee, but am also thinking of offering lunch and / or dinner as an add on (a light lunch, salad or toasted sandwich and Hello Fresh for dinner).

Location: Stanwell Park, NSW which is 75 minutes south of the Sydney city centre on the delightful Coal Coast. My property has a wild and wonderful backyard of 3 acres and is within easy walking distance of cafes, parks and a fabulous beach.

Stanny (as we call Stanwell Park) is the greatest place to visit as it's a quiet welcoming haven, stunningly beautiful plus has brilliant walks and amenities.

Launch prices valid for bookings until Sept 30, 2024.

Solo: Mon-Thurs nights $90 pn, Fri-Sun $120 pn
Duo: Mon-Thurs nights $120 pn, Fri-Sun $150 pn
Discount of 25% for 7 nights or more
3 night minimum stay
Linen and cleaning fee $40 per booking.

My self contained fully furnished Stanwell Park beach cottage is available, for anyone looking for accommodation in the medium term. (for eg you might be renovating, looking to buy or between houses).

It has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, but the overall floor space of a 3 bedroom house. It's 2 storey with a huge loft style living area upstairs, with 2 single beds / daybeds. It is newly renovated and stylishly furnished, though very cosy.

You would also share a stunning and peaceful backyard of around 3 acres of native bush, whilst still walking distance to an ocean beach.

The following have lived here very happily; a couple, a couple with a child who stayed on weekends, two female friends and a couple with 2 primary aged boys (who slept upstairs).

It is a brilliant neighbourhood and we are very welcoming. The cottage has 30 odd 5 star reviews on Airbnb

Available from June 2, 2021 until end of September, for stays from a fortnight to 4 months.

$560 per week, including all bills, parking and washing machine.
Well behaved dog would be OK.

I have recently created a cosy garden studio on the ground level of my home in beautiful Stanwell Park. I'm seeking a quiet living, mature and responsible person to enjoy this wonderful location.

The studio is furnished and includes a fireplace. The property is quiet haven, located in a close knit culdesac on an acreage property (with wonderful trees).

Stanwell Park is a friendly, thriving community and we are located within walking distance of a wonderful beach and park and close to both shops / cafes and the station.

The open plan space is the size of a one bedroom apartment, and includes kitchenette (with island bench / table), bathroom, double bed, chair, closets and drawers, couches (including a sofa bed), TV and best of all, a wood fireplace.

There is a shared outdoor area, washing machine and 3 acre backyard plus a car space if required

** Price - $340 per week, including furniture, electricity and internet. Paid weekly by direct debit. Bond will be payable. Lease length negotiable up to 12 months. (I'm open to month to month too). No pets, non smoker.

Proud to say the house got its 7th 5 star review today.

Despite one group cleaning up a flood, another group with a minor car bingle on the driveway, another tripped the power on a cold night and numerous other imperfections.

I think my apple crumble strategy is working!
