Recovery day for some of the horses that jumped out yesterday!

Fantastic to have the old stalwart of the stable Ranger Frank back in action, he had a nice quiet hit out with Todd Pannell on board, following around the likes of Philonize.

Valley of Darkness has returned looking a treat after a 3wk freshen up at Far Horizon Lodge, she trialled well under Ryan Hurdle.

ShouldSueEm had her first trial back for the prep, she looks to have physically matured nicely from her last prep, still mentally unstable on occasion but we can try to work around that 😅

Northern Dane also went around but was still a shade chubby so will need another trial before we head to the races.

Thanks to Kirra, Millie and Alex for coming to ride these guys down in the river on an awesome spring day 🫶☀️☀️

Ranger Frank and Ranger Cee Jay both contest Race 6 @ 3:40pm

Frank has drawn the car park and will jump from 16/16 with Justin Potter on board, steps out to the 1300m for the first time this prep, hopefully getting an easier run race to give him time to find his feet and wind up.

CJ didn’t fair much better with the barrier draw unfortunately but he gets a 3kg claim with Britney Wong so hopefully he can show us where we’re at with him and look for an easier race in the near future.

Both boys are enjoying a nice walk at the great Peter Moody’s Trunoble Lodge in the only part of the day where the sun has made an appearance!! 👌🐎🐎

Very pleased with Justa Jillaroo and Ranger Cee Jay’s jump outs this morning! ⚡️

Justa Jillaroo worked along lovely under a hold behind them and pulled up a treat, can’t wait to see this tough little mare at the races! 😍

Cee Jay was a nice trial coming back from a muscle injury 8wks ago, special thanks to the amazing work from APEX Equine Therapy for getting him back up and going so quickly! 💪🙏

As for Ranger Frank yesterday, the old boy simply didn’t handle the back up this time and utterly resented the track conditions unfortunately, so he’s headed to the paddock for a well earnt freshen up with the awesome crew at Chapel Hill Thoroughbred Agistment! 💜💜

Special thanks to Alex Kennewell and Emma Hubbard for holding up the fort for the past 10days 🙌

The big unit goes around again this Saturday!
Hoping for an ounce more luck than the racing gods bestowed upon us last start as you can see by the photo of Potsy wrenching up the handbrake down the straight with nowhere to go!!

Back to the 1050m, he’s feeling as out of control as ever, so you know he’s on song!!👌

We team up with the super in form Sam Payne for the first time!! 💪

I leave him in the trusty hands of Emma Hubbard and his usual trackrider Alex Kennewell while I’m away for a much needed freshen up in Fiji 🏝️🍻

Having a sound and healthy horse is the most crucial element of training racehorses

Here we have two of the best doing their parts!
Katherine Grantham from APEX Equine Therapy going over our new addition to the stable Justa Jillaroo
And expert chiropractor James Gardiner looking at Ranger Cee Jay who did himself a bit of a mischief during trackwork recently and has needed some time off and plenty of help to get him back on track!

Fantastic to have two professionals like these guys who are more than happy to collaborate for the best outcome of the horse ⚡️💜

Running 3rd at Oakbank on Monday on the inferior part of the track and then backing up Saturday from the widest barrier, getting back to last, then being held up entering the straight and storming home to run 3rd again!
They really don’t come any tougher than this bloke! he always gives it his all, his ego and arrogance doesn’t allow him to run a bad race 😈
He’s very deserving of a win, which won’t be far away by the looks 👌

They find themselves in competitive races but are feeling great and being 3rd up will strip fitter from their fantastic last start runs having both run 2nd and should be thereabouts today! 💪

The main boys of the crew Ranger Frank and Ranger Cee Jay stepped it up this prep with a couple of nice jumpouts, was very good to see CJ relax and enjoy his work, he’ll head to another trial and see if he can step it up again, Frank on the other hand worked to the line beautifully and will head to the races this Sunday at Bordertown 🙌🤞🤞
