On this day 5 years ago the Cudlee Creek bushfire started just after 9AM at Cudlee Creek and swept through Adelaide Hills Council communities at Lobethal, Woodside and Mt Torrens. 85 homes were lost, and many more damaged. Regretably 1 life was lost and many suffered injury and trauma.

Today we remember the victims of this fire and thank those who fought it. 5 years on the community has gone a long way to recovery but scars still remain.
