Happy New Year!

Let me introduce myself…

I have been collared to represent the Meet and Greet Scottish Dogs on the AHG events team, taking over from Jean. I have big paw prints to fill as she has done an incredible job for many years.
Thank you, Jean 🤗

I am looking forward to working with the amazing Meet and Greet team. I know I won’t be able to do it without their expertise.

I also come with a wee Westie girl, Miss Maisie. You may have seen her: she thinks she is a Highland dancer 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Looking forward to meeting you all in 2025.

This year the Armadale Highland Gathering was temporarily relocated to Champion Lakes Regatta Centre due to MetroNet works in central Armadale. This did mean that for the first time there was a Classic Dog section in the Perth Kilt Run, over a 2.5km course on pathways around the lake. Total 54 entries for doggies runningwith their owners in kilts 🤩🐾🏃‍♀️🐾🏃🏻‍♂️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
While this was lots of fun there were some difficulties with the Champion Lakes site, especially parking and access. It involved long walks from car parks to the venue and proved too challenging for many with doggies who turned back. This was really regrettable and we are sorry, information about distances was posted but probably wasn’t seen. Also it wasn’t possible to have our clever Agility Dogs performing (surface not safe) and this was a big disappointment. There was still plenty to do and see for those folk who did make it with their doggies, thanks for participating and making the Meet and Greet Scottish Dogs area such a highlight, as always 👏🐾👏🐾😊🐾👏
Anyway next year the Highland Gathering should be back at lovely Minnawarra Park sometime in October. Details and information about it will be posted on this Meet and Greet Scottish Dogs In WA page as it becomes available. We hope to see everyone and their doggies 🤩🐾💙🐾🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

We are planning a Parade of Scottish Dog Breeds at the Armadale Highland Gathering on 6 October, still looking for these breeds to go in our parade:
Border Terrier
Cairn Terrier
Dandie Dinmont Terrier
Skye Terrier
Bearded Collie
Border Collie
Rough Collie
Smooth Collie
Gordon Setter
If you own one of these breeds and can come to the Armadale Highland Gathering for a 10am parade we’d love to hear from you 🙏
Parade will be a relaxed event in our Meet and Greet Scottish Dogs area.
