Thanks to rescue cooperation, Doria flowered to become a beautiful healthy cat. Having nearly had her breath taken away in a tragic bout of fading kitten syndrome, thanks to the help of Bundoora Vet and another rescue, which provided foster support, Doria made it.

Work like this pulls on our heart strings and we all dug deep to cover the bills.

Whilst the risk is low, we routinely treat litter trays, that are re-used with diluted F10Sc Veterinary Disinfectant to avoid spreading any latent viral and bacterial loads in trace deposits. Here you can see we are using a spray bottle with water and F10Sc at the 10mL/L dilution. Thus, this is a safe and economical way to assure proper hygiene standards are met.

How cat thieves may be operating in Merri-bek.

1. Leave garage door open at night.

2. Set up cat trap provided by Merri-bek Council Ranger.

3. Put food into trap to lure cat.

4. Ranger collects trap at start of their early morning shift.

In the picture below, there appears to be a cat trap in the garage.
