There are a number of different obstacles that can be found on a dog agility course, some more commonly than others.

Typically a course consists of:

A tire jump, a bar jump, a tunnel, a chute (also known as a 'collapsed tunnel'), an A-frame, a dog walk, a teeter (also just called a 'seesaw'), and a set of weave poles.

Other less common obstacles can include:

A broad jump, a pause table, a set of stairs and a 'barrier'.

Having trouble wrapping your head around all of these? We'll be explaining these obstacles in detail in future posts. So follow us and stay tuned!

Warm ups are important!

is an intense physical activity for your dog and just like you need to warm up yourself before you go for a sprint, so does your dog.

As part of your training session with , you will be taught how to properly warm up and cool down your dog so you can protect their joints and muscles.

Welcome to Sunshine Coast Dog Agility!

My name is Charlotte and I have been training dogs in tricks and agility for almost 10 years.

I've founded Sunshine Coast Dog Agility to give local Sunny Coast residents the opportunity to partake in some fun 1:1 dog agility lessons. I do not prepare you for agility competitions as part of this service, this is merely to give you and your dog a fun activity to do together.

Dogs of all breeds, ages and training levels are welcome. If your dog is unreliable off leash then we can still have some fun on leash. If you have a puppy then we will make our sessions fun and easy in order to protect your puppy's joints.

Sessions are an hour in length and include the agility training as well as a proper warm up and cool down to protect your dog's limbs and joints.

SESSIONS NOT CURRENTLY RUNNING DUE TO AN OVERLOAD OF BOOKINGS. MORE SLOTS OPEN SOON.
