Say hello to Magic, one of Ruby and Maloo’s adorable puppies from their last litter! 💖

A huge thank-you to Magic’s wonderful hooman for sharing this precious beach moment—watch him learn to fetch in the waves! 🌊🎾

Quick puppy fitness + safety tip:
Puppies should stay on a leash at the beach until about 12 months old. This protects growing joints and helps prevent hip dysplasia later on. 🦴✨
Leashes also help with recall, so you know they’ll come back when you call. 🗣️📣

Keeping pups on a leash at the beach until they’re a year old is the safest choice for their growing bodies and lifelong health. 🐶💕

Enjoy the cuteness and have happy, healthy adventures with your fur babies ! 🧡

Heidi (one of our guardian Mumma’s) is staying with us for a few days while her humans are away. This is how she is bonding with Chili 🩷🐶

In canine language, kissing (licking) = bonding, scent sharing, and trust-building. Look for relaxed bodies, soft eyes, and wagging tails to know it’s friendly.

Does your dog do this? 🐾

Can You Keep Up With a Groodle? (The Groodle Guide - Part 4)

Spoiler alert: Groodles aren’t “lazy” dogs 🐾

Don’t get me wrong - they certainly have their chill days - but these dogs are a mix of brains and bounce: part Golden Retriever enthusiasm, part Poodle smarts. Like most dogs, they need both mental and physical exercise to stay happy (and out of mischief).

Here’s the thing:
✨ Most Groodles need at least 60-90 minutes of exercise a day - walks, fetch, swimming, or off-lead play.
✨ They also need regular mental stimulation! Think puzzle toys, training games, and scent work to tire out that clever mind.
✨ Under-exercised Groodles can get bored… and boredom often means “creative problem-solving” (aka digging, chewing, or barking).

We’ve found our girls are pretty adaptable to our lifestyle. One day we’ll spend hours at the beach, and the next we’re just tossing a ball around in the backyard - but we always make sure they get their daily dose of movement (both mental & physical 😉)

A well-exercised Groodle is calm, content and cuddly - the perfect family companion.

So… do you think you could keep up? 🐶

Next up: Part 5 - Training & Intelligence (how easy are they to train) ✨

Life with a Groodle is never boring!

Here’s what our day looks like:
✔️Walkies
✔️Training Time
✔️Treaties
✔️Bones for lunch
✔️lots of resting time
✔️Playtime
✔️Cuddles with the fam … this is an all day activity 😁
✔️Beachtime if we can fit it in
✔️Dinnertime

Exciting News …Ruby is officially expecting! 👀

Over the past few weeks, Ruby’s been stealing treats, extra cuddly, eating nonstop - and maybe just a tiny bit moody with Chili 🙈

We had our suspicions, and yesterday they were confirmed - she's officially got puppies on the way! ♥️

The puppies will be medium-sized, red, non-shedding, with a mixture of wool and fleece coats. They are expected to arrive around December 8th.

Who’s ready for puppy spam? 😍

Our girls were 100% opposed to wearing costumes this year! Ruby immediately pulled her witches hat off and Chili tried to eat hers 😂 They were however very happy to eat all the treats

The Groodle Guide - Part 2: Grooming & Coat Care Reality

Let’s be real - Groodle coats are gorgeous, but they’re not low-maintenance.

They might not shed much (or at all), but that doesn’t mean you’re off the hook. Whether your Groodle looks like a fluffy cloud or a shaggy teddy bear, that coat takes commitment.

Here’s what you’re working with:
🌀 Curly (wool) coats: More Poodle-like - non to super low-shedding, but they mat fast. Think daily brushing and regular trims.
🌊 Wavy (fleece) coats: The “classic Groodle look.” Soft, non-to-low-shedding, and gorgeous - but still needs brushing a few times a week to stay mat-free.
🍯 Straighter (smooth) coats: Easier to brush and shed a bit more, but don’t get complacent - they still need consistent care.

Now for the honest part - here’s what we’ve learned owning Groodles:
1️⃣ Professional grooming every 6–8 weeks is a must.
2️⃣ You’ll probably spend more on their grooming than your own - expect $90–$150 per visit.
3️⃣ Brushing at home is non-negotiable. Miss a few days and mats will form, especially behind the ears and under the arms.
4️⃣ And technique matters! Always brush right down to the base of the coat - not just the surface. (Comment a 🎀 if you want us to send you a video on how to do it properly.)

This isn’t to scare you off - just to be real.
A neglected coat isn’t just messy, it’s painful. But when you stay on top of it? You’ll have the softest and happiest Groodle around.

If you love the look, just be ready for the work (or budget for a great groomer). If you ask us, it's 100% worth it ♥️

Puppy reunion time! 🥹

We absolutely love it when our puppy families stay in touch.

Fizzy & Magic had their first reunion since heading to their forever homes, and it was pure joy. These two cuties are from Ruby & Maloo’s June ’25 litter. Even after months apart, they recognised each other instantly! 💕

Thank you for keeping that special sibling bond alive ♥️

The video of their reunion is just pure happiness - you can catch it in the comments ⬇️

Moments like this are exactly why we do what we do 🥹

When Magic's family reached out to share some feedback, I honestly got a little emotional reading it. This is what I think about during those early weeks with every single pup - hoping that all the cuddles, the careful handling, the time we invest in socialisation, the thoughtful nutrition choices... that it's all going to matter. And it does.

Here's what his family had to say:

"Magic has such a kind, calm nature and an obvious love of people. You can tell he was raised with lots of early cuddles, handling, and social time that helped shape him into a loving, well-adjusted companion.

We also appreciate the attention the breeders put into nutrition and early development - introducing healthy food habits and even getting the pups comfortable with safe bone chewing for long-term dental health.

It's easy to see the care, thought, and genuine love that went into those first weeks of his life. We're so grateful to Groodles of Noosa for giving Magic such a strong foundation and a happy, healthy start."

Thank you for trusting us with Magic and for letting us be part of his story ♥️
