We have some very exciting things happening in 2025! ♥️

While we can’t share everything just yet, we can tell you that we’re officially taking applications for our next Groodle Guardians!

So, what’s a Guardian? Simply put, it’s a way to give a dog a loving, forever home while also being part of something bigger. Our Guardians welcome one of our beautiful Groodle puppies into their family, and in return, they share them with us for a few breeding cycles - helping us bring more happy, healthy pups into the world.

But that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy puppy love! 👀

Let us explain.

Many people think pet allergies are caused by fur, but it’s actually more commonly caused by pet dander! All dogs produce and shed dander (tiny skin particles), but allergic reactions typically only occur when dander becomes airborne.

The term “hypoallergenic” refers to dogs with low to non-shedding curly, wool, or fleece coats. These coats trap more dander, making allergic reactions less likely.

Our daughter has severe allergies to pet dander, yet she enjoys endless puppy love from both of our girls without any reactions. However, everyone is different - if you have allergies and are considering adding a Groodle to your family, we’d love for you to spend time with our dogs first ♥️

Does this pose look familiar? Our girls love to “Eagle Spread” 🦅

While it is ridiculously funny, there are a few practical reasons behind the pose. Lying on their back can help dogs cool off by exposing their belly, where there’s less fur and better airflow to release heat. It’s also a way for them to stretch out their muscles and joints, especially after a big play session.

Beyond the physical benefits, the Eagle Spread is a sign of complete trust and comfort. When a dog flops onto their back, they’re showing that they feel safe and relaxed in their environment.

Do you remember little miss Minnie? Well, time flies because she's already 6 months old! 🥹

Minnie is one of our Guardian Groodles, which means we're hoping she will be a part of our breeding program in the future. We recently sent her DNA off to Embark Vet for initial screening and we're very excited to share that her results are all clear.

We can't wait to keep you updated on Minnie's journey ♥️

A lot can change in 6 months!

I saw a quote the other day that said one of the saddest things about getting a “big breed” is you can only hold them for a very short time … well comfortably at least 😅

Maple is one of our gorgeous puppies from Ruby & Whiskey’s 2024 litter of Ultra Groodles. She is a standard size (the biggest they come) & only 7 months old here! Isn’t she just gorgeous?!

This week has been a hard one ♥️

When we started on our breeding journey, we knew we wanted to be as transparent as possible with our community. That means not only sharing our highs but also our lows.

On the 13th, Ruby went in for an ultrasound that we were hoping would confirm her 4-week pregnancy. Dog pregnancies are incredibly short—just 9 weeks and while this test is the earliest official confirmation, we usually notice certain signs much earlier.

To us, Ruby had these signs. She was being more clingy and trying to sneak a few more snacks than usual. However, the ultrasound revealed she doesn’t have any pups on board.

Over the past few days, we’ve visited various specialists to ensure Ruby is in perfect health, and the good news is that she is. We think her “symptoms” were likely a mix of hormonal changes and her clever way of scoring extra treats from us.

To all our Mini Groodle families, we know this news may feel disappointing. But we promise—when the time comes, these pups will be absolutely worth the wait.

According to a Guide Dogs UK study, dogs actually have a favourite Christmas song!

The study found that music had a positive effect on around 90% of dogs - some found it energising, while others calming. But what were their favourites? There were three standouts:

We are a big family … between Clint & myself we have 9 children (don’t worry they don’t all live at home 😅), 2 Groodles, 2 cats, a fur grandbaby, some fish and every so often a handful of puppies.

For us, family life is filled with a little bit of chaos and a lot of love - and that’s exactly how we like it!

We wholeheartedly believe this is what makes our puppies so adaptable, social & well-rounded ♥️

Have you ever seen a pup more ready for Summer than Milo? 😅

It’s officially the first day of Summer here in Australia and if Spring was anything to go off, it’s going to be a hot one! Here are few helpful tips to keep your pup cool:

💧 Keep Them Hydrated: Always have fresh water on hand - we’d recommend buying in a portable dog bowl.

🐾 Paw Protection: Hot footpaths and sand can burn paws. Try walking your dog early morning or late evening, and remember the “5-second rule” — if it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their paws!

✂️ Groom for the Heat: Regular brushing can help your pup’s coat breathe. For breeds with thicker coats, a summer trim can help keep them comfy.

🌊 Water Play: Whether it’s at the beach, river, or even a backyard sprinkler, water play is a great way to cool down … just make sure your pup has a shaded spot to retreat to when they’re done playing!

⚠️ Know the Signs of Heatstroke: Heavy panting, drooling, or wobbliness are red flags. Take your dog into the shade, cool them down ASAP & if in doubt, call your vet.
