Can You Keep Up With a Groodle? (The Groodle Guide - Part 4)
Spoiler alert: Groodles aren’t “lazy” dogs 🐾
Don’t get me wrong - they certainly have their chill days - but these dogs are a mix of brains and bounce: part Golden Retriever enthusiasm, part Poodle smarts. Like most dogs, they need both mental and physical exercise to stay happy (and out of mischief).
Here’s the thing:
✨ Most Groodles need at least 60-90 minutes of exercise a day - walks, fetch, swimming, or off-lead play.
✨ They also need regular mental stimulation! Think puzzle toys, training games, and scent work to tire out that clever mind.
✨ Under-exercised Groodles can get bored… and boredom often means “creative problem-solving” (aka digging, chewing, or barking).
We’ve found our girls are pretty adaptable to our lifestyle. One day we’ll spend hours at the beach, and the next we’re just tossing a ball around in the backyard - but we always make sure they get their daily dose of movement (both mental & physical 😉)
A well-exercised Groodle is calm, content and cuddly - the perfect family companion.
So… do you think you could keep up? 🐶
