Milky Rocket

A 3yo Chestnut C**t, just bought by Luke Miller and Sarah Robbins. Luke is taking out a dual license so he’ll be able to ride and train. Also having Sarah by his side who used to train up at Darwin, her most notable horse being Lord Smedley who won 3 races in a row and over $160,000 in his career thus far.

If anyone is interested in buying shares in Milky Rocket, I’ll tag them both in the comments so you can get more information. I believe they can get the best out of this horse.

Hello Everyone

My name is Tom Ackerman and l‘m also a jockey Manager and I’ll be using this page to thank connections, post my jockeys rides and advertise my jockeys.

My jockeys are Luke Miller, Greg Walters and Sarah Robbins when she returns to riding.

I just want to say a huge congratulations to Greg for riding a Provincial winner at the Gold Coast on Saturday. Jungle Blaze opened at $34 and Greg gave him an absolute peach of a ride. Massive congratulations to Doug and Darleen Duryea. This horse has a bright future. Greg has ridden 3 winners in his last 7 rides.

I also want to congratulate Luke, he puts in the hard yards and isn’t afraid to travel. Luke rode 2 winners this weekend out of 9 rides. One of them being ‘Gillick’s Way’ at Cunnamulla today at $16. Congratulations to Peter Townsend and family. He also just got beaten on Piracy in the Battle Of the Bush which he’s finding hard to swallow. Thanks to Craig Smith for the ride, so close!

Both Tom, Rob Davidson and myself took a massive risk when purchasing this mare. There wasn’t a lot to go off when we first came across her, but it was an opportunity we couldn’t refuse. It wasn’t long and she was on a float up here from Gippsland Victoria. Although there was some pleasing signs early on, we struggled to get any weight on her. A couple of preparations later and today she picked up her second win from 11 starts. We continue to pinch ourselves as we continue this amazing ride that our girl ‘Peaches’ is taking us on. On top of that we have been able to bring in more owners to share this ride with. The racing bug has the potential to bite us all and win lose or draw in the future, this girl will be forever indented in our memories ❤️

I do understand what they are trying to do, but as much as they are helping the industry they are also killing the grassroots at the same time. Is it such a bad idea to have all of the country races on Melbourne Cup Day at Randwick. The Big Dance and The Kosciuszko on the same day. The crowd will still pack in as it’s Melbourne Cup day, the turnover will be better. Somehow limit the big ones to country trained horses only. The meeting doesn’t have to be massive, put a few highways/midways in there or maybe a couple of races for Metro trainers/horses only. The racing in Sydney on Melbourne Cup day is pretty poor anyways, just an another idea I guess. Maybe cap the meeting to 6 races and kick it all off after the Melbourne Cup is run 🤷‍♂️

Success is measured when you reach your final destination, the end. If you try and hit 100% straight away, you are going to miss the important parts along the way. Take small 1% steps in the right direction and you will get to where you’re going. My idols, Greg Ryan and James Ackerman gave their all in life and in their profession. One retired a champion, the other died a legend ✊✊

He always urged me to chase my dreams and to turn work into something that I loved doing. Just want to say a massive thanks to everyone who gave us positive feedback on our jockey post recently. Here I am a few years ago with Uncle Greg Ryan, this photo was taken before we left to head to the famous Wellington Boot meeting. For those Greg Ryan followers out there, I thought I would provide an update. Greg is enjoying life with his family on his property, just outside of Dubbo. He is currently helping his son Isaac with his tree lopping business, Greg was and always will be a hard worker. He is walking around weighing in the mid 60s, and looks as healthy as can be. I hope to get back to see him in the coming months, an interview may be in the cards 🤞

He rode over 4000 winners in a career that spanned over 30 years. This man is the reason I have so much respect for jockeys, he is my uncle and his name is Greg Ryan. Pressure hits overload when a jockey not only has to please the connections of a horse, they have to please the punter and they have to please themselves. Plenty of jockeys spend more time in a car than what they do at home. As the kilometres are racked up, god only knows what thoughts are running through their mind. A one to two minute adrenaline rush wipes out any fears and the what ifs. What makes you want to hop on the back of a 500kg animal and go as fast as you can? What makes you want to compete with an ambulance following you around? What makes you want to starve yourself so much that you pass out? A horse loses and the jockey is the first to blame. I have respect for the jockey because not many others do ✊

Prinente goes around again today at Ipswich in race 5. It’s a big step up from a maiden at Kilcoy but she’s taken improvement out of last start. With the right run in transit hopefully she can go close again. Whatever happens she’ll give her all. Good luck to everyone involved.

He’s in flying form and absolutely loves this track and distance. Recording 33.20 last 600m last start looks pretty solid for this.

Eagle farm race 6
7. Queen Sweeper $6.50

Solid effort last start with the 60.5kg, drops down to 52kg here with the claim of Leah Kilner. Definitely doesn’t look out of her reach.

Super stoked to say the least, from a $1750 purchase from Inglis digital as an unraced 4yo mare. We couldn’t be more proud, she’s our little super star.

Massive thanks to trainer Rob Davidson and jockey Jasmine Cornish. She was ridden a treat today and exactly to instructions.
