Home of the Sniffer Squad Ultimate K9 is owned and run by Becky Thomas, a NDTF qualified dog trainer.

Becky breeds and trains Labradors for working roles. Her passion is helping owners get the best out of their best friend. This includes assisting with the right exercise, training and nutrition. Becky is also a Certified Nose Work Instructor.

Ultimate Sniff n Go Wrap Up

I hope everyone had fun. You all did an amazing job and should be super proud of your dogs.
We had a massive 18 hides!!!

The most found was 16 (holy crap) and the average was about 7. We had 42 dogs have a run, these are the results of hides found.

How many hides can you find in 6mins?
Come join us for an Ultimate Sniff n Go. You will be given a 6min time slot to find as many hides as you can.
You can run as many dogs as you like.

New Years Eve NW3

The weather held out for us with no pouring rain until after presentation. The conditions were tough though with ever changing winds in vehicles and very high humidity throughout the trial.

Big thank you to our CO Donna for some lovely searches and really nice challenges. Thank you to our Judges Cass & Lisa and our SRL Jane. Our wonderful volunteers kept smiles on everyones faces.

Christmas party wrap up over the weekend. So nice to just chill with everyone and reflect on an awesome year the squad has had.

So many goals achieved from dog’s being able to join a group class, working under distraction, giving trialing a crack or getting that long awaited title. The biggest goal, as always, is having fun with our dogs.

We had a super fun time at our annual Ultimate Christmas Sniff n Go. The weather was a bit dodgy at times but the ducks enjoyed the swim in their pond.

30 teams took part, there was 16 hides total with the most number of hides found being 14.

Let’s give a big congratulations to Squad members Steph & Winnie for gaining their Scent Work Champion Title.

It takes a village to achieve these goals and I’m so proud to be one part of their journey.

Winnie is the first dog in Australia to achieve their Scent Work Ultimate Title and Scent Work Champion Title.

The Ultimate K9 instructor crew had an absolutely awesome two days learning from NACSW’s Jean Richardson.

Great job from the working teams. It takes a lot of guts to get up and work your dog in front of your peers.

Thanks so much to ACSW - Australian Canine Scent Work for bringing Jean to our shores. Can’t wait for the next one.

NW3 Wrap Up

Night time trials for the win!!! This was our first attempt at hosting a night time trial and it was brilliant.

Well done to all our competing teams, you are all rock stars. Big thank you to our officials, CO Kim, Judges Cass & Lisa and SRL Suzanne. Our wonderful volunteers kept everything flowing and greeted everyone with a smile.

Our high pass rate just goes to show the level at which these teams are working at. You guys should be so proud of yourselves and your dogs.

Dear Valued Customers

Please be advised that the UK9 store will be closed for a couple of weeks while we move house. I was starting to get behind on orders and that's not fair to you guys. So we'll be closed until the first week in December.
When we reopen, we will be fully stocked with all your favourite vessels and of course plenty of odour.

QLD Scent Work State Titles Wrap Up

We had a huge 3 days of fun and laughter, with some searching thrown in. Such a good vibe in the car park with everyone getting into the team spirit.

The Sniffer Squad had some outstanding achievements

We are super proud of everyone who turns up and gives it a go. It doesn't always go to plan and can look a little messy but the time you get to spend with your dog is priceless.

Building the Ultimate K9 Workshop.

Thank you Brisbane for an awesome 2 days of Nose Work.

We got to see a great range of working dogs and I’m so appreciative of the trust their owners put in me. It takes a lot of guts to get up in front of your peers and work your dog, so well done to all the teams for giving some new things a go.

Hopefully we can do it all again soon.

Warning...incoming proud coach moment.

I'm not sure I can express how proud I am of these two teams. Over the weekend they entered the NW3 trial in the hope of completing their NW3 journey. They managed to keep their cool, in between the tears and feelings of vomit (yes, that's how trialling feels sometimes). In order to complete this journey they needed to obtain 3 x NW3 titles plus their 4 x NW3 element titles.

So much hard work has gone into this mammoth task. There were high highs and very low lows. It takes a lot of courage to put yourself out there when you also instruct for this sport. So much love for the both of you.

NW3 Wrap Up

Well the weather was hot hot hot!!! Thank you to all the competitors who managed to keep a smile on their face throughout the day, it may have melted off for a bit there.

Thank you to our officials CO Lesia, Judges Helene & Suzie and our SRL Suzanne. To our amazing volunteers, thank you for keeping the pep in your step and making our competitors feel relaxed as they approached the search areas.

We had some awesome results, the hard work and dedication to your sport was definitely on display.
