MERRRYYY CHRISTMAS EVE!

Good morning folks. First and foremost - yes we are open today (24th) until 1pm!

I wanted to give a massive thankyou to all of our amazing customers. You, as always, have blown us away with another beautiful year in business. We quite literally could not do it without you all. Our doors would not open. So, thankyou - thankyou for choosing to shop small business, thankyou for supporting our family and thankyou for all those that have become what feels like a part of our family - some of you have shared so much of yourselves with us - success, loss, happiness, hard times and everything in between.

We feel blessed to be a place that so many feel safe to share their lives and what they're going through. We have built such an amazing little community together, not only for aquascaping but just good people with great vibes. And that, more than anything - we are most proud of.

We accomplished alot this year both in store and behind the scenes. And next year will be no different. Time didn't allow our website to launch (still in the works, promise!) but I'm excited for 2025!!

Thankyou all. We will be closed for Christmas Day and Boxing Day and New Year's Day - all other days we're open and will be doing reduced hours (Google is up to date with our hours).

It's that time of year again!

We're getting in early so everyone knows when we'll be here and won't be.

We're STOCKED up ready for all your Christmas Shopping. Anything and everything you should ever need or hope for - expect to see in store in abundance.

Hey everyone,

With the parking along aerodrome getting worse and worse I wanted to quickly remind everyone - there is parking at the back of the store 🙏😁 The driveway just before our store will take you to our carpark. Park anywhere. If there isn't a space - park in the cars closest to our store as it'll be staff cars and we ain't goin' anywhere anyway 😁🙏

For those that feel sketchy about getting back onto aerodrome - just ask Jules when you're leaving and he'll happily walk out to stop traffic for you to get back onto the road safely 😅🙏

Hey everyone!

Just a quick (ehh, maybe not quick!) one for anyone who is a customer or follows us as a business. And for anyone who uses Google Reviews in any way.

We typically get great feedback from people in person and online (positive and constructive). But every now and then we'll get reviews like this one pictured below.

Google Reviews can be pretty tough for small businesses - it at times is the first impression people will see of a business before they even arrive.

And the best part about the world we live in now is that we can provide feedback on any business at any time and offer exactly that - feedback. But, sometimes I think we forget the constructive part of that feedback.

While I encourage people to leave a review - positive or negative; I simply ask (beg) that you give some context, reasoning and rationale for your review.

If your only aim is to denigrate a business by leaving a low rating - then we don't have much recourse anyway and it does happen. Our personalities aren't for everyone sometimes. Other times, people just want to put others down - for who knows why. We get that, too. To those people; I'm sorry and I hope it gets better 🙏

But anyone, 5 stars or 1 star. If you've gone to the effort to visit a business. Spend time in it. Then jumped on Google - please, give some context. We will read it. We will take it seriously. And we will do our best to fix anything we can (if there is in fact anything that is in need of fixing). But at the very least - you're helping future potential customers identify what we lack in. You'll maybe save someone a visit entirely.

But just a rating with no rationale?

It doesn't help the business. And it won't help other customers coming to read your review.

We're all here to help one another. So, let's try and do it when we leave reviews 🙏❤️😊

On a side note; thankyou to all our AMAZING reviewers that have left lengthy posts (good, bad, ugly, constructive) - you guys rock. I can't thank you enough. We've improved and grown as a direct result of you 🙏😊

No space for another tank? Our Mini Desk Ponds are pretty neat. They're so much fun to make and so easy to keep healthy and thriving. Perfect for shrimp - I added about 4 Mischlings to this one ~1.5 years ago and now I can't count how many there are. Completely filter less and thrives with the plants doing a bulk of the nitrogen exchange. Even in such a small slice of water - there is so much going on 🤩 Come build one in store with us - they're great fun!
