Beautiful baby girls STILL looking for a forever home!

Our gorgeous baby girls were born at the shelter from a surrendered mum on February 18th this year, and while we've had many expressions of interest and even two completely approved adoption applications (that ended up pulling out for different reasons), the girls are still in care and not with their forever family yet. 😭

The girls are sweet and friendly, and have been raised with gentle kids and lots of love. They're very fragile while this young so need a home with no kids under 10, but older kids and adults would be fantastic for them.

They've lived with their mum and an unrelated female for a few months and could be bonded with another female piggy or little herd looking for 2 more members.

As more people DIY cages it's super important to remember that many cheap options are not tested to be safe for guinea pigs. In order to prevent injuries from heads getting stuck any gaps in cages must be 35mm or less, and for babies under 6 months gaps should be as small as possible. 💛💛

Don’t be fooled — they are NOT the same.

Temu’s "pet" grids might look similar to ours, but they’re not built for guinea pigs — in quality, materials or design.

They are flimsy, break, rust, and worst of all… the gaps are big enough for little heads to get stuck. 😣
Cheap now, costly later.

Baby piggies!

Our two baby girls born into care on Feb 18 are still looking for a forever home. We'd love to find their family soon so that they can grow up with them rather than in foster care.

The girls are sweet, active and cuddly, and will do great in first time or experienced piggy households. Due to their young age the girls are not suitable for families with kids under 10.

While they're this age they'd also do great bonding with other girls if you're looking to expand an all-female herd.

Beautiful senior girls looking for a home!

Cookie dough and Lily are around 5.5-6 year old sisters that have been together their entire lives. The girls have been through a few different homes in their life and are unfortunately unable to stay in their current home and need a new family to love.

There will be no adoption fee for these girls but our regular adoption application process will apply.

Billy and Bailey are STILL looking for their forever family, could it be you?

These sweet boys were rescued from an industrial area after being dumped there to fend for themselves. Still only babies now after a few months in foster care, we want to get these little cuties into a forever home to grow up with their new family. Unfortunately long haired piggies and piggies with red eyes take a lot longer to be adopted, the boys haven't yet had a single enquiry. 😭

Inner West Guinea Pigs has second hand cages and accessories free of charge included in the adoption fee of $70, it's a fantastic way to get started owning guinea pigs knowing you've got the right equipment. 👍

We have beautiful adult (approx 3 yrs) Zoe and her best friend baby (approx 8 mths) Abby are looking for a forever home together.

Zoe came to the shelter alone after losing her sister, and met Abby when she was surrendered because of accidental breeding. Abby successfully gave birth to 2 beautiful girls (who are available for adoption), and will be ready to leave them and find a new home from March 12. These girls have lots of love to give and are happy being handled by kids and adults alike.

While stocks last we are including free second hand cages and accessories for new piggy owners to get started.
