I’ve been a little slack with the photos..

Miss Luna, one of the happiest girls you’ll ever have the pleasure to meet.

Luna has progressed well so far and enjoying her training sessions.
Here she is with one of our frenchies Sonic.

Socialisation with other dogs was something the owners wanted and here she is playing happily with another.

🔥BEWARE OF HEAT STROKE IN DOGS🔥

☀️Although we are all enjoying this lovely weather, we are urging all dog owners to take extreme care while it’s warm. Heat stroke is a serious illness and can often be fatal.
The best ways to keep you dog cool are:

😎 Never exercise your dog between 8am-8pm on a warm day. Don’t overdo exercise during warm spells, regardless of the time of day.
😎 Always ensure your dog has access to water and a cool, shaded area.
😎 Never leave your dog in a car or hot stuffy room, even for short periods of time.
😎 Bring them inside!!!

❗️75% of the heat stroke cases that we see are a result of owners exercising their dog during the day. If you have any doubt on whether it is too warm to walk your dog, don’t do it!

❗️Brachycephalic dogs (bulldogs, Shih Tsus, Lhasa Apsos, Boxers, Pugs, Chow Chows etc) are at much higher risk of heat stroke, so take extra precautions. Large breed and long/thick haired dogs are also at higher risk of heat stroke.

Symptoms of heat stroke include:
🌡️ Rapid breathing / panting
🌡️ Racing heart
🌡️ Unsteady on feet / collapse
🌡️ Gums turning blue/purple or bright red
🌡️ Seizures

❗️If you are worried your dog may be suffering from heat stroke, spray with tepid (NOT FREEZING) water and call your nearest vet immediately.

Should You Spay/Neuter Your Pup? 🐕

Having dogs sterilized is a critical part of population control. However, studies show that traditional spaying/neutering in dogs, especially in large and giant breeds, and at an early age, increases the risk for many diseases, including several types of cancer, along with behavioral problems. 💔

A just-published, first-of-its-kind study involving over 6,000 dog owners also revealed that spayed/neutered dogs develop more health and behavioral problems than intact dogs and dogs that underwent gonad-sparing sterilization procedures. The study also suggests that dogs might benefit from alternative surgeries like ovary-sparing spays (hysterectomies) and vasectomies.

Now the challenge… how many puppies can a dog trainer train before leaving for their forever homes.. (sit,drop,stay,lead and toilet… shake a bonus 😉)

I was about to say Good Morning, then realised the time 🤦‍♀️🤣 I guess hourly alarms and broken sleep will do that 🤪

For my clients that know I am also a breeder ( and rescue) we were expecting some puppies 😉

Easter holiday period closure dates..
