Five adorable baby bunnies. They make such a beautiful array of colours.
It was a hot day. Baby buns kicked the cozy "quilt" aside. They tunnel underneath the hair and shavings when temperature drops. They jiggle and wiggle to a corner to pee and poop. They're the cutest at 3-4 weeks.π
Bribe Coco with a yummy treat to give her kit an extra meal. This kit seems to be underfed.
I have two little photographers at home. Here is what I found on my daughter's device.
Such a fine day for an outing π€
A litter of 5 kits, but one was peanut, didn't survive.
Little choc fox is watching choc otter doing stunt.
One choc colour, three patterns: self, fox and otter
Thank the new bunny parent for sending me this video and so many other photos, so I can watch them grow.
What a beautiful orange boy! Can't believe I saved his life from coldness last winter. He was the only kit in that litter and mum didn't pull enough fur for him, he was found frozen and lifeless in the nest. Still I didn't give up, put him in a waterproof plastic bag, then put the bag in warm water. Waited for 10 minutes, and noticed his little mouth twitched a bit, then he started wriggling. Then I put his nest box on an electric blanket for small animals, let mum feed him twice a day for a few days before putting him back in the cage with mum. That's truly a miracle.
Seven-week old buns didn't dare to leave their hideout too far, they're vigilant little kits.
My Choc bun is posing. π
So nice to have someone to snuggle with in such cold weather!
It'd be more fun if he had siblings.
My new addition, lilac fox buckπ, playing with my daughter. He has a lovely temperament. His purplish fur looks so much better than that in this video.
Honey's only kit!π Not happy when I disturbed its sleep.
Have been waiting for her babies for so long. Have to say breeding nethies is hard, breeding in hot months is even harder.
Hope this little bun is a girl.π
