🌟 Meet the face behind Tasty Wiener Treats! 🌟

Hi, I’m Lauren, the owner and creator of Tasty Wiener Treats! 🐾 I started this journey in November 2020 during COVID after a workplace accident left me at home isolated and very anxious with my first sausage, Albert. Needing a hobby to help with my mental health, I got creative and launched TWT with just 3 handmade products 🤗

Fun fact : my very first market at in January 2021 featured hand-written labels on all my treats! ✍️ Over the years, I’ve run a monthly pop up market called Paws in the Piazza and a major event, Paws at the Point, for 2 years straight which was a LOT of fun and challenged me in many ways 😎

A little about me:
🐶 I’m a proud committee member of Rescue, serving as Director of IT & Social Media
🎧 I’m currently obsessed with The Telepathy Tapes podcast and love diving into real life stories
🚤 I just booked in to get my boat license AND a heavy vehicle license (mid-life crisis much? I turn 40 in 6 weeks! 👵🏽)
🌏 I’ve traveled to Thailand over 12 times and can’t wait to go back with Jordan this year for his first trip!
💉I have a collection of tattoos that I’ve accumulated around the world, and have 3 devoted to my Albert & Lucy - currently planning my next little piece of ink!

🌟 Life Update : The Garage on Surf Lane🌟

It’s been a whirlwind few months for Tasty Wiener Treats, and I wanted to share some news about The Garage on Surf Lane. Initially, I leased the space commercially with the purpose of creating a pop up retail spot where our local community could shop in person from time to time. But, in the lead up to Christmas, I faced a tough hurdle.

After a council complaint from a neighbour, an investigation revealed that the address didn’t have the necessary Development Approval (DA) to open the garage door and trade as a retail space. This news came just as I had stocked up on exciting new products to expand our range, making the timing incredibly stressful 😓

While this has been a setback, it’s also given me clarity on how I want to grow and manage TWT. I’ve realized that markets and events, while wonderful for connecting with you all, aren’t something I can regularly commit to with my current time and mental capacity. Moving forward, I’ll focus on one off or special occasions for events and continue to grow our online shop and custom pawty cake and cookie orders. Watch this space for some exciting new Mystery & Gift Boxes coming soon.

I will still be using the garage as my stock warehouse, workshop and admin office🐾💖
