So you have been trying your hardest to get your loose lead walking under control BUT without constant guidance your dog will still pull any chance they can get?Here are a few reasons why๐ค:(These apply to when your dog is out of the learning phase)1๏ธโฃ You have a lack of clarity in your training including inconsistency with marker words and direction. You sometimes let your dog get away with things, and sometimes youโre strict. Sometimes often doesnโt cut it for strong willed dogs!2๏ธโฃ You are not providing your dog with enough outlets to burn energy and be biologically fulfilled so they are overstimulated on their walks. Try every second day giving your dog a โfreeโ walk/run off lead or on their harness in a quiet location, while on other days stick to short and simple walking sessions3๏ธโฃ You may be focusing too much on the bad and not enough on the good. It is easy to get angry at the mistakes our dogs make KNOWING they know what they damn well should be doing!
