Golden Sebrights
Well look at this little cutie.
I have two of them looking for their forever homes. Unsexed but is a Sebright crow really a crow 🤭. Delivery to Sydney available for a fee. Drop me a DM.
Wyandotte, Belgian D’uccle, Polish, Rhode Island Red (bantam), Araucana, Silkie, and Sebright. Still some left but not for long. PM me for details ❤️.
Did you know that we also have a range of cross breed layer hens available most of the year? Pullets and hens are only allowed to go to a forever home at minimum in pairs, usually with their best friend 🥰. So many different shapes, sizes, and colors to choose from 😍.
Porcelain Belgian D’uccle and Silver Sebright pre Christmas babies ready to go ❤️.
Lots of surprise babies this morning 🥰.
Dare I say it…Guinea Keets are cuter than chickens 🙊🙉😂.
I’ve watched this so many times! It makes me laugh every time 😂.
This weeks special: Coturnix Quail. Aren’t they adorable 🥰. They make great pets. They can be tamed to eat out of your hand and climb all over you. They take up very little space. They do fly away so need to be kept enclosed. They live for about three years and can lay an egg a day! After a week you’d have enough for a tiny breakfast 😂 🍳. Want to know more? Send me a message 😁.
Everyone needs a bantam Ancona wandering around their garden don’t they? Isn’t she lovely, and yes that’s her man who photo bombed. They’re super friendly and curious chickens. They come from Italy so that’s a bit fancy. They lay about 180 small white eggs a year.
Chicks are hatching as we speak and they’re adorable! Get in quickly while there’s still a few looking for gardens to wander.
City Chickens is located in the Lower Hunter Valley NSW. We were affected by the floods over the past few days. There are well over 150 animals on site and you can imagine the mammoth task it was to rescue them all. We started moving the flock one coop at a time starting with the coop that we knew would go under first. The pics are of our main coops that were completely submerged.
At 1.30am, we were wading through waist high freezing cold waters with chickens under our arms. We didn’t stop until every single bird was safe.
Right now there is a massive cleanup ahead. The main coop has been made habitable and you can’t imagine how happy the chickens were being able to move back into a warm and secure bed.
Chickens who have never met were forced to share space and apart from some squabbling amongst the roosters they are behaving beautifully. Some are still in small pens but are safe and well.
We had to let all of our ducks go and by some miracle they had all returned and were sitting in the yard this morning waiting to be fed.
Looking forward to seeing every feathered friend back in the comfort of their own coops.
p.s all of the tiny baby chicks are safe and we have some Belgian D’uccle babies looking for their forever homes.
