Hattie and Nefario 💛

Our two little orphans are officially apart of our despicable me clan! They love their siblings and their mumma.
Since being with us they have gained almost 150g each which is fantastic.
They are receiving daily top up feeds with a bottle to ensure they aren’t missing out as mumma will soon begin to wean her babies as they are 2 weeks older.
Hattie is already so sweet, she adores cuddles and loves her bottle.
Nefario is a rough nut, he loves wresting and sturing up his sis.
We are so proud of how far they’ve come! 🐾

Introducing David 🐾 This little guy came to me on Saturday afternoon. He was found alone with no sign of a mum or any siblings. He had one of the worst cases of fleas I've seen. The bath water was full of blood from the bites. He has a bad case of flu. I was worried he may not make it, but David is proving to have a fighting spirit. What a difference a few days of medicine and TLC can make. We are hopeful David will continue to improve and make a full recovery. Keep an eye on our stories for updates on David's journey.

Introducing Billy-Bob, Beatrice, Bonita, and Betty Boop. These babies were born from a stray mumma who has made herself at home on someone's property. Luckily, their mumma picked a property owned by caring and kind people to have them. These babies still have some growing to do before they will be ready for adoption. Mumma and what we think is an older kitten from a previous litter are being desexed and returned to the property where the owners will continue to feed and care for them. Keep an eye on our stories to watch these cuties grow.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO TAMLIN 🥳
Today, this beautiful boy turns one, and sadly, for him, he is still in care. 314 days, this gorgeous guy has been waiting to be adopted. He is shy and will need a quiet home. He gets along well with other cats, so a multi cat household won't be a problem for him. He must go to a strictly indoor only home due to his colour. Help us find Tamlin a home so he doesn't have to also spend Christmas in care. This sweet guy really deserves a home to call his own and a family to love him.

Valerie and her 6 little minions 💛

Mumma Valerie and her babies joined us on Monday night after we were able to arrange transport to our care. Valerie was a stray who was kindly taken in by a wonderful family.

She is such a beautiful cat and has raised her babies so well.
Her 6 babies are 3 boys and 3 girls who we have affectionately named Silas, Gru, Dru, Margo, Edith and Agnes. I’m sure we all know which movie inspired this theme 😆

They are all doing really well and as you may have seen, Valerie has taken on two orphaned babies who we are yet to name. Keep an eye on this space for updates on when this little family will be available for adoption 🐾

Yesterday we saw a post on a local Lost and found page.
Two approx 3 week old kittens had been orphaned after their mumma had unfortunately passed away. They had been without milk for at least 24 hours.
The lovely finder reached out to us and with some help from one of our little beans adopters, we were able to get them into care last night.
They were very weak and hungry, we don’t suspect they would have survived much longer.
Our lovely Peita kept them fed and warm overnight until we could introduce them to our beautiful Mumma cat Valerie who we are yet to formally introduce.
The first time she saw the babies she immediately took them in, licking and laying down for them to nurse.
It was absolutely beautiful to watch.
She continued to nurse them and completely took them under her wing.
We now have two happy and contact little orphans who have lots of siblings to keep them company.
Due to the age difference of Valerie’s babies and these two, we will be keeping a close eye on them.
Watch this space to see lots of kittens spam over the next coming weeks.
Valerie and her babies will soon be introduced to you all 🫶🏻

Elena & Julian 🧡

These two gorgeous Beans are suspected to be brother and sister. We can’t understand how someone dumped them in a box as they are absolutely beautiful and crave human attention. They have been in care now for 6 weeks and haven’t had a single adoption application!
We know they aren’t tiny kittens but we promise they are still very much babies themselves.
Julian loves to play and would snuggle in your lap all day if you let him.
Elena is extremely chill, she soaks up attention at any given moment but is also miss independent.
Help us help them, share our posts and let’s find these two the homes they deserve 🐾

🌱 Indigo & Tino are GROWING.
These 2 are so different in personalities. Indigo is nuts, she loves zoomies, parkour and causing trouble ei: making Tino cry while wrestling. Tino is calm, quiet and scared of his own shadow, he prefers napping in the sun on his cat tower and frequent snacking.

🌾 ATTICUS.
Early this week I received a message from a friend about a cat that had appeared on her property suddenly. Today I went out and picked him up. He isn’t microchipped, desexed and is in pretty poor condition. Attempts have been made to find his home however no one has come forward, unfortunately we do suspect he had been used for breeding and when not needed any more, dumped.

Atticus is an absolute sweetheart, he adores attention and affection, purring loudly, making biscuits and meowing for pats any chance he gets. He is now safe, comfortable, fed and will soon be looking for a new, better, forever home.

Keep in mind, mum cats are always last to be adopted and can sometimes be in care months due to their age. We always encourage those pondering adoption to consider a mum cat, their awful past experiences make them that much more deserving of a consideration.

ASSISTED REHOMING🐾

Mac (4 year old Tabby) and Bluey (3 year old ragdoll) are on the lookout for a new home. These boys have been around small dogs but will be wary of new dogs. Mac is not a fan of being picked up but loves to come and lay on your lap. He is quite independent and enjoys spending time soaking up the sun. Bluey is quite a relaxed boy and is affectionate and cuddly. Ideally, these boys would love to stay together. However, it isn't absolutely necessary.

✨ Meet Tino, ‘Tee-no’, our newest and tiniest Little Bean. Around 4 weeks old, Tino is now roommates with fellow Bean Indigo. Breeding season has well and truly begun, please be a responsible pet owner and desex your cats.

Staring at her as I imagine her being back out in that backyard, in the elements of unpredictable weather with so many dangers around her. Not knowing when her next meal will be, having to wait for rain or searching for unsanitary water to drink to survive. In 5 months time, she’ll be pregnant, likely giving birth to her first litter of babies before she turns 1.
But look at her.. warm, a full tummy, safe, a happy, healthy life of love ahead of her. So thankful for the family who saved her and have now given her this opportunity.

🧼 Why do we post these kinds of videos? For attention? Absolutely! Here is an hour of my time washing 7 ringworm kittens. An hour of my own time, unpaid, just because I want to help them, just because I want to make a difference. We may not post about all the ‘sh*t bits’, which can leave us open to criticism. It isn’t all snuggling, it isn’t all cute kitten content. Behind the scenes it can be gross, time-consuming, expensive and heartbreaking. These 7 colony babies may not be rehomable right now, and that’s okay, that’s why we do it, because they can be, with time, effort, dedication and love, which we are ALL too willing to provide. #bekind #adoptdontshop #nonforprofit

🆘 Monday I caught Lady Belle and Jack Dawkins. Today with the help of some friends, their 5 siblings were caught. Full of flu, worms, fleas and ringworm. Skinny, sick, suffering. ‘Just’ feeding colonies isn’t enough, it’s making it harder for us to genuinely help. Please, if you know of anyone feeding this Bargo colony, tell them to STOP, only then can we catch them and put an end to all this unnecessary pain.

Unfortunately our little Yoki didn’t make it 💔 We are absolutely gutted. He wasn’t even in care for 2 days before we knew something wasn’t right. He was rushed to the vet this morning where he passed away shortly after. We asked our vet to perform a post-mortem. It was found he had an extremely large and severely damaged liver as well as a severely damaged gallbladder, likely caused by an infection. Nothing would have saved him. He was slowly dying. Yoki didn’t DESERVE THIS! We will do everything to make his life worth it and report this backyard breeder. Rest easy little guy 🐾

🧡 Sweet mumma Callie. It’s been 147 since she entered our care. She was heavily pregnant and gave birth to 4 perfect babies. 12 weeks later, her babies all found homes of their own, yet here she is still waiting for her turn. Callie can be quite nervous when in new environments and with new people, but as you can see, she is an absolute sweetheart when she feels safe. She will enjoy making biscuits in a quiet home without loud kids and dogs. She will rub against you for lots of chin scratches and loves unlimited affection. Don’t look past her. Adopting a mum who has been through so much is one of the most rewarding endings for us, and it can be for you too. Let’s get Callie a home she deserves. SHARE 🔄

Meet Pearl 🤍 Pearl joined us today from our wonderful team at @highlandsvethospital Pearl was a stray found in the Newcastle area. As you can see she is absolutely beautiful, affectionate and stunning. Unfortunately as she was a stray she developed cancer on both her ears, which required amputation. Tomorrow Pearl heads to @petstock_australia Gregory Hills in hopes of finding her forever home 🏡 Feel free to pop in and visit her, share her story and encourage everyone you know to adopt, giving babies like Pearl the second chance they deserve!

Kiko and babies update 🐾 Unfortunately Kiko managed to somehow escape her enclosure on Tuesday last week. We have no idea how she is extremely good at escaping and obviously doesn't like being contained. She had previously escaped a crate whilst heavily pregnant which astounded me and has since also escaped a cat trap. We thought the enclosure she was in would be safe as we could see no way she would be able to escape, but unfortunately she found a way. We left the babies there for quite some time in the hopes that she would come back for them but she didn't and it got to the point where we had to step in and begin feeding them. We will continue to look for Kiko and set some more traps in the hopes that she is still hanging around, the property she is on is a large acerage with plenty of hiding spots so we hope she is there somewhere. Its been a very stressful and exhausting week but on a positive note the babies have taken to the bottle well and are gaining weight and starting to move around and play. They are 4 weeks old today and are absolutely adorable although I am hoping they start eating on their own soon so I can go back to sleeping through the night. Edited to say there is 6 babies one was hiding well 🙃Kiko delivered 5 beautiful babies late yesterday afternoon/evening. Four little gingers and a little Tortie. She is a wonderful mumma and both her and the babies are doing well. Keep an eye on our stories for baby kitten cuteness 😍🥰

🤍 Everyone meet Popcorn. Late last night we received an email from a lovely woman who had heard tiny cries from her garden while hanging washing out, then out popped this little guy, alone and hungry. We estimate him to be an itty bitty 4 weeks old, he’s very active, very cheeky, VERY loud and already shows off beautiful purrs. He is the CUTEST little bean 🥹
