On the weekend we were contacted about a very skinny mumma cat with her two babies living on the street. Thankfully a lovely woman caring for them was able to bring them into care today.

Meet Emerson and her 2 sons, Emmett & Elias. Emerson is a gentle and lovely mumma cat, who also instantly took on the role of surrogate, taking on Elodie as her own. Adding to the ‘aw’ of the story, Emerson and Elodie look almost identical, talk about meant to be! 🤍

🌸 ELODIE
This tiny gal was handed into in pretty bad shape. Thankfully their wonderful team gave her LOTS of TLC and love and she’s now thriving! She is ridiculously affectionate, playful and an absolute cutie patootie and a half. She has lots of weight to gain over the next few weeks, but we can’t wait to enjoy her company and eventually see her join her forever home once she’s big enough 🥹🥰

Cora & Chester’s story 🌶️🔨🧡
This weekend was chaotic. A friend of mine contacted me after a mother and her 5 kittens were found living on a high shelf behind a pallet at her Mitre 10 workplace.
I encouraged them to set traps to catch mumma cat so the entire family could be taken in together. Sadly, another party went against our advice, scooped up 4 kittens with a broom and took them home, leaving 1 kitten and the mum behind. “Can’t save them all” is what was said 💔
Early this morning I headed out, and thanks to my friend Bec, mumma cat had been caught in a trap overnight. I then climbed the pallet, over a dead rat (🤢) and secured the final kitten.

This rescue was a mess, but we’re relieved we have mum and bub together. Chester is no older than 4 weeks, still reliant on mums milk. Mum herself is no older than 8 months. Cora will need A LOT of socialisation, but I’m hopeful I can bring her around.

Please, PLEASE, always do your best to take the entire family together. Chester will now thrive off his mums feeds, and Cora will now break the breeding cycle.

Meet Moe: The Gentle Giant Looking for Love

Moe’s journey hasn’t been an easy one. A year ago, he went missing, and no one knows what adventures or hardships he faced during that time. Recently, he was found wandering the Hill Top area, and a kind stranger brought him to Highlands Veterinary Hospital so we could check for a microchip. When we contacted his owner, they told us they were no longer in a position to take him back. Now, Moe is searching for a new beginning—a place where he can finally feel safe and loved again. So now, Moe waits.



At 7kg, Moe is a true gentle giant. He’s the kind of cat who melts into your arms, pressing his big, soft head against you for comfort. He doesn’t ask for much—just a cozy spot to nap, a few chin scratches, and the feeling of belonging again. He’s desexed, vaccinated, and has had a full health check, including a dental, so he’s all set to start his new chapter.

3 weeks ago during a vet visit, asked us to take on 5 kittens who had been found in a milk crate on the side of the road. Sadly 1 kitten didn’t make it, all 5 babies malnourished, flea ridden, full of worms and infected with ringworm.
We’re still in the process of treating their fairly severe ringworm, however they’re putting on lots of weight and no longer have fleas or worms. They still do not have names either, which we’d love suggestions for. (In order of first photo, girl, boy, boy, girl) 🤎🖤🤍

Noodle, Gnocchi & Ravioli 🍝
These three beautiful souls are the absolute best babies in nature. They absolutely adore human attention like no other, constantly craving cuddles and pats. They are super outgoing and friendly, getting along well with cats, dogs and children.
Basically they’re the PERFECT kittens to adopt. They’re all ready to take home now, and can’t wait to share their fun and loving personalities with their forever families 🐈‍⬛

Meet, Felicity 🤍
This beautiful girl was found by the team at mitre 10 Picton. She had been hanging around for a little while and finally caught earlier in the week.
She is quite spicy and needs some nice kitty therapy, but we have faith she’ll come around in time.
Leaving cats undesexed and not microchipped isn’t just irresponsible on our part, but also cruel for them. Had Felicity not been caught, she would have become completely feral and spent her life breeding, contributing to the already overflowing population.

🚨 Please Stop Dumping Unwanted Pets – It's just cruel! 🚨

This morning, these five tiny kittens were found abandoned in a large milk crate under a 'Give Way' sign in Braemar. Left out in the heat with no food, a small bowl of water, and no protection, they were in heartbreaking condition when some kind passersby found them and brought them to us.

Despite our best efforts, one little soul didn’t make it. 💔 The remaining four are malnourished but otherwise in good health, and will soon be in the loving care of Little Beans Cat & Kitten Rescue, where they’ll get the help they need.

We understand that not everyone can care for an unexpected litter, but dumping animals like this is cruel and completely avoidable. There are rescue groups and shelters, that can provide advice and assistance. If you need to surrender a pet, please reach out for help—there are always better options than dumping them and leaving them to suffer.

UPDATE: Molly and her babies are all doing really well. Babies are now 4 weeks old. Three little boys and two little girls. We would now like to officially introduce Mitzie, Moe, Miffy, Manny and Marmaduke. Keep an eye on our stories to continue to watch them grow.

NESSIE 💙🚔

Everyone meet the most sweetest little stray.
The beautiful Nessie turned up at a police station 1.5 weeks ago where she made friends with every person she met.
She was put on the local page with no one coming forward and no microchip was found.
She is literally sooo affectionate which is why we believe she had been dumped.
We estimate she is about 5 months old.
Nessie will be available for adoption very soon.
She would be perfect for any family as she loves al humans, she would just need time to adjust to other pets as she is still in protective mode from living on the streets.
Due to her constant head bopping whilst in care, we haven’t been able to get a good photo of her sweet face so here’s a few before she came to us 😆

Do you have a large property or know someone who does? Are you or someone you know looking for an expert pest controller? If so, Margarita needs you! This girl is very affectionate but can be unpredictable. She also doesn't like other animals. These things make her almost impossible for us to rehome. Margarita needs a safe and loving place to call home. Somewhere with some freedom for her to roam safely would be ideal. She loves a pat and can be handled and picked up and easily put into and out of a cat carrier. If you think you can give Margarita a home, please reach out. We are getting desperate to find a place for her. Margarita is microchipped, desexed, vaccinated, worm, and flea treated and has a very reduced adoption fee of just $80.
