Let me tell you an equestrian fairy tale…
Once upon a time in a strange land far, far away (South Australia). There lived a beautiful princess (aka Kirsty) who was desperately seeking a new horse. She had searched the land far and wide but to her despair had found nothing. “A horse, a horse, my kingdom for a horse” she lamented as she wistfully stared into her magical crystal ball (Horsedeals). The crystal ball became cloudy and as the haze cleared, there before her eyes she saw a vision of the most noble steed of a chestnut hue with four white socks (you guessed it…Red). She hoped this horse would be the answer to all her dreams but alas he was many leagues away and the journey to see him would be long and arduous. Determined, she set out upon this odyssey and after many days travelling she arrived in a mystical forest (Springfield Stables) and there before her stood the most magnificent beast she had ever seen. Instantly she fell in love with him but to her dismay this beautiful horse was trained by an evil stepfather (Shane) who said “no no, this horse is far too young and inexperienced to make a reliable parra mount”. Undeterred, the princess rode the horse and to the surprise of the wicked stepfather the horse became a lamb under her calming influence. The Good King and Queen (Greg and Rochelle) were applied to and after meeting the Princess gladly gave their blessing.
Soon after the majestic steed was spirited away to the Princess’s castle where she and her Fairy Godmother (coach and best friend Jen) cast an enchantment over the steed and very soon the combination had developed a loving and trusting relationship. Before too long the Princess and her valiant mount were competing in tournaments where they have slayed all who have come before them and continue to live happily ever after….
The moral of this story is never listen to evil stepfathers and never, never stop chasing your dreams
P.s some poetic license has been utilised in the telling of this tale.
