Wow, I’m so excited to share that the results from the International Pet Photographer of the Year competition are in! 🐶📷 There were over 3600 entries from more than 40 countries, and one of my photos made it into the Top 100 with a score of 87 and a Silver Distinction award. It truly means so much to me to be in the Top 100 for the second year in a row!

I’m also thrilled to share that two of my other photos received Silver awards, and two more earned Bronze Distiction. I still can’t quite believe it! This is only my second time entering this competition, and I’m so grateful to see my work improve year after year.

A huge thank you to .ed Charlotte and Craig, for organizing such an incredible competition and for all the amazing educational resources you provide. I always appreciate the feedback and am constantly learning how to improve my craft.

Congrats to all the other winners as well—you are all such an inspiration😍✨📷

Boss's and Peppa's pawrents reached out to book a session after sweet Boss was diagnosed with lymphoma. 💔 Since the boys love bushwalking, we headed to Rouse Hill Regional Park and had an amazing time. We captured many beautiful moments of this wonderful family together and experienced the most stunning golden hour.

Seeing how cheerful the dogs were, one would never guess that Boss would be crossing the rainbow bridge just a few days later. I am deeply honored to have joined you on your final adventure. Fly high, sweet boy. 🌈🐶

📷✨ Big news! I’m over the moon to share that my photo of Rufus has made it to the Top 10 in the Animals category at The Mono Awards 2024, presented by Synology - placing it in the top 0.5% of all entries in this category! 🌟 It’s such an honor to be recognized among so many talented photographers.

But that’s not all… This photo has also been selected for the cover of the Mono Awards issue of Australian Photography magazine! 📸🎉 This recognition means the world to me, and I couldn’t have achieved it without your incredible support 🥰

All good things come to an end… or do they? In recent years, I dove into the Embark and Emerge Challenges organized by .ed, and they were such a blast that I couldn’t resist signing up for their third and final interactive dog photography course: Empower.

Empower was an exciting adventure where we tackled 12 dog photography challenges over 6 months, with a fresh challenge popping up every two weeks. This year, we had 50ish photographers from all corners of the globe, and let me tell you, the competition was fierce! The sheer quality of the submissions was both overwhelming and incredibly inspiring, pushing me to give my all with every single shot.

I had an absolute blast experimenting with new techniques and honing my craft. I’m over the moon to share that 7 of my photos made it into the Top 10 and 2 of them won in their category! 🎉 I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed capturing them. 😊

I was also thrilled to receive recognition for my set of images as a High Commended Portfolio. It’s been amazing to see how much I’ve grown over the past 2.5 years, doing the challenges.

A huge thank you to Charlotte and Craig for all the invaluable feedback and coaching! And a special shoutout to my fabulous doggy models and their pawrents: Summer, Kai & Wattle, Rufus & Atticus, Minnie, Evie, Bolt & Force, Milo, Bindi, Arya, Jay Jay & Nala, Humphrey, June & Eshke, Pippi and all the other incredible pups who posed for me. You were all stars, and working with you was a pure joy! ♥️

Here it is - our final Empower Challenge from .ed!🏆 Can you believe how quickly 6 months flew by? For the jump challenge, I went with the classic log jump, and the amazing Rufus and Atticus were my perfect practice partners. It took some time, but we wrapped it up with a few adorable photos and even scored a TOP 10 award! 💖 Who nailed it better: Atticus or Rufus? 🤔

During my March trip to Bali, I joined the Little Steps Matter Foundation team on a street feed in the Kediri area of Tabanan and met some of the dogs in their care. We first visited this cute pup with some food. She greeted the volunteers ecstatically, and you could see how bonded they are. After she ate, the girls ran a quick health check and cut her nails. I snapped a few images at this location, and after seeing the pup's expression in the first one, I knew it would be my Dogumentary submission. She can't be more adorable...😍 Our Empower .ed challenge judges found this moment very precious as well and rewarded the image with a TOP 10 ❤ It makes me so happy, as I find those photos of Bali dogs extra special and close to my heart.

Meeting and photographing the Little Steps Matter team was a great pleasure. It’s amazing to see animal lovers from Bali and other parts of the world coming together to help animals. You can show them some love by following them on social media or donating on their website ❤ Just $10 will provide food for one dog for a week, and $20 will cover a dog's annual vaccinations!
