Keeping a Close Eye on the Herd 👀
It’s gotten extremely dry, so we’re making sure to keep a close eye on the cattle—especially the new mothers. We’ve been feeding out green Lucerne bales, but the cows aren’t even waiting for us to pull them apart—they’re diving straight in and tearing them up themselves! 🐮
With conditions like this, it’s more important than ever to check on them up close and make sure everyone is doing well. Hopefully, we get some decent rain soon or at least a cool breeze 💨

A big thank you to wyane for getting here before the rain and Stacey for once again taking another load of our best Lucerne small squares back to Melbourne!
We're so grateful they managed to dodge those storms on the radar on the way back. 46 bale baron packs (966 small square bales) are ready for the horses of Melbourne to taste

A huge thank you to Micheal Ag for coming out to the farm yesterday on the long weekend and baling and silage wrapping our hay so
We got the silage off the paddock just before the 9mm of rain came down
Now the crops can soak up the well needed rain and keep growing
