Street cats face incredible challenges every day, especially mothers searching for safe places to give birth to their kittens. These mama cats instinctively seek out secure locations to protect their young from the dangers of the outside world, including predators, harsh weather, and human threats. Their determination to find shelter stems from an innate desire to ensure the survival of their babies, driven by an understanding that safety is paramount for nurturing. If you’re not willing to take them into your home and provide shelter, the kindest choice is to let them be. Provide them with food and reach out to rescues and wait until one is able to collect them and give them a safe home. As you can see in this video, this poor mama was petrified, not understanding what she had done wrong. In her instinctual world, all she knew was to seek safety and shelter for her little ones. Yet, she was robbed of that right and locked in a bird cage, the fear in her eyes spoke volumes of the deep terror she felt, unsure of what would happen to her and her babies. When I asked the homeowner why he didn’t want her on the property and why he had put her in a cage, he said it was because she pee’s in his vegetable garden. I often find myself confronted with the worst cases of mistreatment to animals by people and it takes every ounce of self-control to remain composed. The anger and hurt I feel when I look into the eyes of these helpless, vulnerable cats is beyond heartbreaking. Im allowing mama to decompress and enjoy the feeling of being safe with her babies. Seeing her do air biscuits tells me she knows she is now safe 🥹 your monthly contributions allow us to continue to give these angels a second chance at life. Urgent Foster or someone wanting to adopt this beautiful boy. His owner is relocating overseas in 9 days and we need to find him a home asap.
Charlie needs a home 😢
This is Charlie, he lives in a colony that I have been feeding for almost two years. He’s only around 5 years old and has had a really hard life. I have taken him to the vet a few times to be treated for a few things one of the worst when I found him and someone had cut his tail and it had to be operate on 🥺 He is the most gentle soul and deserves a better life than this. Before you question why I don’t take him, I did, he was with me for 2 months after his procedure and I was looking for a home for him but anyone that was interested pulled out when I told them he sometimes accidentally releases droplets of pee due to his injury of his tail. I live in an apartment and Charlie needs a house with outdoor access and someone who can give him the care and love he requires. I also have to keep the space in order to bring in more rescues so I had to return him to the colony where he is from. Even though I set him up a waterproof cat house where he sleeps in it’s out the back of a block of apartments but it’s still outside. One tenant looks over him daily but he is not happy and it kills me knowing he’s out there. My heart breaks into a million pieces whenever I go out to see him. He just looks so sad. I will be taking him to the vet tomorrow to get him checked out again to see if anything else is going on because the past few weeks he hadn’t been eating much. My goal is to get him a home asap or possibly have him fostered until we find him one. Please help me help Charlie find a home. He’s microchipped, vaccinated, desexed, and I recently had dental work done done on him. He’s the sweetest little boy and I just want to get him off the streets and find him a home and can sleep indoors in a warm bed. Please share this story and get him more exposure in the hopes that there’s someone out there that is willing to give Charlie the life he deserves 🥺🙏🏽❤️
