Kitties of Oz My name is Karla, I’m a kitty lover who has 5 cats of my own and I also foster cats and Kittens.

I have created this page called Kitties of Oz to provide information, educational resources, product reviews, promotion of rescue and foster organisations and everything Kitty related!.....and of course, lots of photos and videos of my own cats and foster cats and Kittens that I look after. I am a member of a lot of cat groups and so often I see people asking for advice and information about diffe

rent things related to cat and kitten behaviour, Health, food, toys, rescue, fostering, enrichment….and everything else Kitty related….so my aim is to fill this page with helpful, informative, useful, educational, fun and of course cute content that will help you and your kitties. I will be speaking to professionals and interviewing experts, conducting product reviews, writing and re-posting helpful articles and much more. UPDATE: After 2 days…no urine or other litter type smells at all in the garage! 🎉

Did a complete litter tray and litter refresh today in the garage!
Bought all new stainless steel litter boxes and filled them all with Michu Wonder litter.

Fingers crossed this will make the garage smell a lot better than it did with plastic boxes and corn litter!

I’m looking at buying a 3 bedroom apartment at the end of this year so I’m desperately looking for a litter solution that smells better than corn litter! (I can’t use clay or scented litter as Missy is allergic to it)

I will buy a place with a balcony that ill cat net, so some litter boxes can go outside….but I’ll still need to have a few inside so I don’t want the place to smell like the garage used to! Lol

The quality of these Cat Tree King towers are awesome….
2 of my biggest cats - Jasper and Loki…id say they weigh about 14kg combined!….sharing the top hammock on the floor to ceiling tower and it hasn’t moved!

Yes, they are expensive….but so worth it!

Anyone out there that has a cat with allergies to scented litter like my Missy and has to use natural corn or paper litter (which I can tell you from experience is very smelly and does not clump properly!)….Give this a go!!!

I just tried this Michu Wonder litter out this week….my cats liked using it….its not smelly at all and it clumps like magic! ….its a game changer!!!

(I am not affiliated with this brand at all and purchased this litter myself)

I think Lily is missing her little kitten friends who went back to the shelter today.

She is coping better this time than last time the babies went back though (she laid in the corner for a few days last time)…
This time she’s been coming up to me for pats and she plays with toys of if I give them to her….so she is definitely still progressing with her socialisation ❤️

It’s a week of firsts for Lily this week!

I checked the camera in the foster room and Lily is up on the cat tower having a nap with the kittens! I’ve never seen her climb the tower before! ❤️

Getting closer to being able to give Lily head pats.

She still flinches if my hand is above or in front of her face but she’s loving getting pats now on the back of her head from behind.

Poor girl is so traumatised from something that must have happened to her but it’s wonderful to see her trust again as she has so much love to give ❤️

Lily’s first brush!

Keith and Kayden have met Lily today! They are loving being in such a big room after spending the last 2 weeks in my ensuite bathroom….lol Lily is doing her kitten welcoming ritual of watching them closely and hissing at them if they come too close to her face….lol….she has sniffed them both all over and shown no signs of aggression or stress….shes just letting them know that she is the boss of this room 😻
