We have an exciting announcement!

As some of you may have heard, Remy will be stepping down as Manager of Marrickville as she has decided to move to Queensland to spend some time with family. If you haven’t had a chance to say goodbye don’t worry, Remy has been poppy by to give all your puppers some extra special goodbye cuddles 🥰

The amazing Dia will be taking over Marrickville in the short-term in her new role as interim site manager! Dia has done a wonderful job as Assistant Manager at Alexandria and is excited to get to know the Marrickville pups!

Next week will be doing Christmas photos of your puppers for a donation! All proceeds will be going to Maggie’s Rescue, a foster-based rescue organisation in Marrickville.

This year’s theme is The Night Before Christmas 🎅🏽 please let staff know on drop-off next week if you would like a Christmas photo of your pupper! All photos will be posted onto Facebook 🫶🏼

This weeks activity is Group Sits 🐕 When dogs gets the zoomies or when dogs enter the group, it can increase group arousal. We always want to manage the group arousal so it allows for play but in a calm environment. Step 1) Call the dogs over to you with ‘treats!’ or any phrase of your choosing. Step 2) Then stand still and ask for a ‘sit’, sometimes you may have to call a dog’s name specifically to ask them to sit. The beauty is the dogs around will see and join in. Step 3) Have the dogs sitting for as long as you’d like, and you’ll already see the energy becoming calmer. Then release the dogs with the word ‘free!’ and step backwards allowing the dogs to follow you or go back to the group. #kipmarrickville #doggydaycaresydney #dogsofinstagram

Thank you to everyone who came to visit us at Santa Paws on the weekend 🎄 It was so nice to see so many of our regulars there and meet some new pups and owners 🐶 what a great start to the Christmas season 🎅🏽

Come healthcheck Peaches with us!! As part of our daycare activities we complete two daily health-checks of each and every pup. We first start off with checking inside Peaches mouth and gums any signs of canine papilloma. Then onto the ears for any signs of infections or discomfort. After, we check Peaches body for any bumps, lumps or cuts. Then we inspect all four of Peaches paw pads and nails, looking for anything out of the ordinary. Then finally, we check Peaches tail. And of course we give Peaches lots of treats and cuddles throughout. Good job Peaches 🍑 🐶 #kiphappystays #doggydaycare #kipmarrickville #dogsofsydney #dogsofnsw #kip
