After a long 7 months of fighting and kicking cancers ass, Cherry unfortunately lost her battle and was peacefully assisted to rest on Wednesday afternoon at 5:15pm surrounded by her nanna, poppy, mum and sissy.

It was a very lovely send off and we made sure that Lyla got to say goodbye too!

The last 24 hours have been unbearable as I looked for you when I fell asleep last night and when I woke up this morning.

I still expect you to greet me with your favourite toy or yell at me when it’s passed dinner time.

I am soo proud of the fight you put up and for always being yourself even when you didn’t feel it.

You have been by my side for 8.5 years and watched me go through heartache, break ups, love, happiness. You snuggled in when you knew I was sad and cheered with me when you knew i was happy.

You were such a great sister to Lyla and I know she won’t be the same without you! She too has been quiet and has also been looking for you.

Thank you for being you and thank you for your loyalty 🫶🏼❤️

It is time you rest now and enjoy your freedom away from this awful disease.

I will always love you. I’m not entirely sure how we go on without you but knowing you’re out of pain brings me comfort.

You were my easiest hello and my hardest goodbye - until we meet again my sweet angel 🍒❤️
