Box Divvy is Community owned and run. This is a fruit veg and grocery cooperative. It's an OPT IN system so when orders are published you will receive an email and have 3 days to share boxes with other members. You can suggest a SPLIT (share a box) or Join a Split. We purchase as a group and are up to 30% cheaper t

han online supermarkets. It’s a Smart co-op so you get more of what you want than a regular co-op. Thursday
4 DAY ORDER CYCLE –FOR Thursday pick up

Before 9pm Saturday as a courtesy for your Hubster if you do not wish an order login, go to MY ORDERS, dropdown Suspend Deliveries and tick the date not wanting an order. If you do fortnightly then this is the place to go to organise your orders. Saturday 9pm – Orders are created. You get an email. Note Star Products at the top of the list in SPLITS tab. These are recommendations by your Hubster. The green dollar sign products are good value. Start your order in Marketplace then go to your SPLITS tab. This is explained in your Welcome email. Tuesday 9pm - CUTOFF
Orders closed. There are 2 automatic processing’s, if those both decline - a $5 recharge fee is applied as it pays for someone to manually reprocess. You must pay BEFORE pick-up. Thursday - PICK UP. You must pick up day of delivery at the pick-up time or arrange with Hubster. PAYMENTS
You must pay for your order once committed to an order cycle. It's OPT OUT. So if you don't want an order, you’ll need to suspend before orders are created. Once in an Order Cycle we cannot withdraw an order. It is your responsibility to suspend the correct weeks. If your payment declines twice there is a $5 recharge fee applied to the third attempt. Jayne Travers-Drapes a founding partner of Box Divvy Giving her time to support our Alliance partner Western Sydney Diabetes on World Diabetes Day.

Jayne Travers-Drapes, founding partner of Box Divvy - one of our Alliance partners - stepped up to find out her diabetes HbA1c score today where her team were attending the Blacktown City Council roadshow event.

In Western Sydney, diabetes is widespread – NSW Health estimates that 13% of adults live with diabetes, and 20% with pre-diabetes.

We encourage all adults living in western Sydney to go to their GP, and get a HbA1c blood test if they:
• Have a family history of diabetes;
• Have an inactive lifestyle;
• Are overweight or obese;
• Had diabetes during a pregnancy; and
• Have a Pacific Island, Indian subcontinent, African, Asian, South Asian, Aboriginal or Torres Strait Island background.

The 3-minute finger prick test does not require fasting and is a quick indicator of diabetes.

We also encourage people to sign up to the 2kg Challenge - where residents can access exclusive health events and educational resources.

The 2kg Challenge encourages people to improve their health through small, manageable lifestyle changes to reduce their risk of developing Type 2 diabetes by up to 30 per cent.

Tomatoes

Tomato supply is a little touch and go, with the virus in South Australia and Queensland finished up. However, we’re expecting some local supply of field tomatoes from Rossmore this week, and we reckon they’ll be under $5 a kilo.

🍒🥭🍊🍍MARKET UPDATE 🥬🫑🥦🍅

⚡️Market update⚡️

🍌🥭🍒🍑🍍

The fruit category is on 🔥🔥🔥fire🔥🔥🔥!

⭐️Banana prices are dropping to $3.60 a kilo. Well, at least at Box Divvy: Coles’ price went up to $4.50. Duh.

⭐️Mango prices have dropped again, with whole trays (16-20 pieces) selling for $29. BTW: the weight of the trays is the same, regardless of the number of mangoes. If there are 16 in a tray, that means they’re bigger – and usually sell at a premium over the smaller fruit.

⭐️A lot of the action is in stone fruit:

⭐️Cherries have dropped to $15 a kilo if bought by the box (2kg), but even loose cherries are under $20 a kilo.

⭐️Peaches and nectarines have dropped to around $7.70, and are likely to drop further this week (but apricots are stuck at around $10 a kilo)

⭐️Seedless watermelon is back – but pricey. Other melons remain scarce.

⭐️Pineapples (tops-on) and large papaya continue to be excellent value for money.

⭐️Apples, kiwi and berries are steady. We’re paying a little more for strawberries this week to make sure they last the distance.
