I'm a stay-at-home fur-baby dad to Bonnie, our toy Cavoodle, who is 3. I own a small software company and work from home. Bonnie and I have the house to ourselves from about 7.30am till 4.15pm, after which my partner Nicole, a Steiner primary school teacher, and our son Ari, 13, arrive home from school. They, like I, love LOVE dogs. Our Wheeler Heights home (near Cromer) has a good sized, fenced i
n back yard (see photos). We are only a few minutes from amazing local dog parks - my favourites are Long Reef and Truman Reserve. When a dog comes to stay we treat them like another member of the family. If I'm out and about they'll come with Bonnie and I to most places and will have a least 30 minutes a day of a dedicated walking, along with plenty of play time with Bonnie and I back at home. At night Bonnie sleeps on our bed, so if your fur-baby is used to that too, for overnight stays they are most welcome to slumber with us or in their basket next to the bed. About Bonnie:
Bonnie's extremely social and playful with other dogs. She also loves hanging in her basket near me while I'm working or up on the couch catching some sun in our lounge room, where she can keep a close eye on what I’m up to. She loves a fossick in our fully fenced, medium sized back yard, and getting the zoomies when we head out to get some fresh air at one of our local dog parks. Some things to think about:
- A complimentary daily dog park walk is included. If you would prefer that you fur-baby doesn't visit the dog park you must be comfortable with them having some alone time while Bonnie and I get some fresh air.
- I can only pet sit small dogs.
- So that I can give ample attention to both yours and my fur-baby, pet sitting is limited to one visitor at a time.
- I will send you at least one daily photo update. If you would prefer not to receive photo updates (regardless how cute your fur-baby is being), no problem - let me know.
- A meet and greet at our place must take place before I commit to any sitting arrangements – that way we can all be sure that everybody gets along.
- Bonnie is up to date with her vaccinations and flea and tick treatments, and all fur-visitors must be also.
- Chilled, adult fur-visitors work best. I understand that there WILL be crazy energy at each drop-off and pick-up, but I can’t take on young puppies or super high energy fur-babies that require constant one-on-one attention throughout the day, or who enjoy chewing things that aren’t meant to be chewed.
- Only toilet trained visitors are welcome. In saying this, I understand that accidents sometimes happen, especially in new environments.
- I’m ok with early drop offs from 7am, and pick ups anywhere up to 5pm. If later pick ups are required, I can offer a different daily rate to accommodate this.
- If feeding is required, all food must be supplied. Please let me know if you have any questions - I'm here to help!
