Puppy proofing is important. Not just to keep your socks and shoes safe from teething puppies but to protect your puppies health. If they swallow a sock or something that can not be passed through their system then that will require a vet visit at the very least.

It’s ok to take your pup out before their full vaccinations. As long as you do not put them on the ground. You can use a carrier or just carry them around to see the outside world.

Spending too much time together. While you may think you need to take weeks off to spend with your new furbaby, it’s actually better to get them into a routine straight away. Taking time off to be there 24/7 then going back to your usual routine will only upset your puppy more. ❤️

Don’t allow the freedom to destroy your things. Unfortunately this will happen. Limiting the pups access to all areas of your house is a great way to be able to keep an eye on them and help toilet train.

Our tiny Harley has left the building. An emotional day for us as this girl stole our hearts and made us fall in love her more and more, with each day she fought to be here. Those first two weeks were touch and go, we fed her by hand every two hours and watched her weight climb but the tiniest amounts each day. Can you believe these little ladies are 11 weeks old now? They are getting better with their toileting and enjoy each other’s company. Zoe is very placid and the odd playtime will tire her out easily while Harley will look for her next adventure. Not long now until Zoe goes to her new family. And now we have three pups left. Elsie will go to her furever home next weekend then Zoe and finally Harley will leave for her new home. Our house is much quieter and we have a lot less mess in the crate of a morning. Our pups are loving their playtimes and starting to prefer to toilet outside.
