Snail eggs on a plant leaf.

Ramshorn snail eggs are small, clear, jelly-like balls that can be found attached to aquarium plants, glass, plastic, silicone, or other surfaces. They hatch into baby snails in about 7 to 10 days hatching up to 15 babies per egg sack.

Baby Ramshorn snails eat algae and other small organisms that can be found in the aquarium. Just like their larger parents. They should be fed a mixed diet that includes protein, plant matter and calcium to ensure their best growth.

You can remove ramshorn snail eggs from an aquarium by scraping them off the surface with a plastic scraper or sponge. Another option is to remove the plants or decorations that have the eggs attached to them and leave them outside to dry out for a few days. Once the snail eggs are dead, you can put the item back on your fish tank.

This snail egg is from a Purple Ramshorn snail.

Baby Ramshorn snails in my plant tank. This is the reason I'm about to get Dwarf Chain Loaches for this tank, so they can eat these snails.

Pest snails can be bad for aquariums because they can reproduce quickly and become overpopulated. This can lead to an imbalance in the ecosystem, which can cause issues with water quality and the health of other aquatic life in the tank. Additionally, some species of snails can eat plants, which can be detrimental to the overall health and aesthetic of the aquarium. The Ramshorn snails won't eat plants unless they're starting.

My Father's Red-tailed black shark female we've had for over 9 years.

She has successfully bred with the male that we used to have. I could only keep the one and only baby alive for 2 weeks before it died. You could say this sort of is my first fish but not really.

Today I went back to Oxford Falls Waterfall to try find a way down the the bottom of the water fall .

After a lot of bush walking, we managed to get to the bottom and it did not disappoint.
There were some mosquito fish in there pool and there was a massive freshwater eel in there. The water level was low so the eel would have been trapped in the bottom pool for an extremely long time as it is over 1m long.

I took a water sample home and did a basic test. The pH was 7.2 and it had 0.10ppm ammonia. The water is polluted however.

Also I didn't know spiders could get that big... Thats bigger than the average Huntsman spider. And I saw one that was bigger too.

Showcasing an amazing driftwood peice made in here Australia by Aqua Snails Aquariums. This peice is 28cm long and has an Anubias plant attached to the "rear side" of the peice. This driftwood will fit perfectly into most tanks including nano tanks.

"This peice is the first ever driftwood peice I made. It has taught me a lot on how to make and process driftwood and make it safe for aquariums and also how to attach plants to driftwood. I have also learnt how different wood can effect the water. Like releasing tannins and dropping pH."

Today's adventure (part 1): The creek off Currie Street trail.

Today I visited one of my local creeks for the first time with some mates to try find any fish or signs of life in our polluted creeks. When we got there, I saw an eel in the water but not much else. We followed the creek down ad much as we could but couldn't find a way down to the big pool where the big water fall is.

There wasn't much sign of life in this creek unfortunately. However, in the next spot we visited, things changed.

"Jerry" the Bloody Mary Shrimp.

Jerry is one of the three shrimp in my guppy breeding tank. Jerry is the biggest and brightest shrimp out of all 3 so very easy to spot.

Jerry can be seen thought the day scavenging for food and swiming around the tank and chasing little guppy fry (only for a split second).

Jerry seems to not hang around the other shrimp in the tank - not sure why. But the conclusion is that Jerry is very interesting. Comment "Go Jerry!" To see more of Jerrry the Bloody Mary Shrimp.

Bladder snail. These are one of my most favourite species of snails even though they are considered pests. They're always super active in every tank and are always doing something quirky to make me smile.

One of the best tank cleaner you can get, you can always see them scavenging for algae or decaying leaves.

Bladder snails are only small and can only grow up to 1cm. Perfect to use as feeders as they're small, and can breed very quickly.

If you like them, consider doing some research about them too!
