ARC - Kangaroos are not pet food To stop the distribution of kangaroo meat products. They have not listened. We have told them repeatedly about the cruelty involved in this barbaric industry.

We have been telling them to stop handing out free kangaroo meat products to domestic pet owners. We have told them that by handing out free kangaroo meat, they are creating demand for more kangaroo meat, which will only ensure more kangaroos are cruelly slaughtered. Have they listened? Have they stopped? NO THEY HAVE NOT!

Disparaging! Derogatory! Demeaning! Offensive!

Just a few words that describe Animal Rescue Cooperative's attack on wildlife rescuers and carers, who are only asking ARC not to hand out kangaroo meat!

The following remarks have come from just one official comment from ARC. Note: These remarks are NOT from a supporter, but from an official ARC page administrator.

"Do nothing"
"Unemployed"
"No work ethic"
"No skills"
"Haven’t created anything"
"Don’t run a charity"
"Don’t run a business"
"Entire contribution to society is posting on Facebook"

This how ARC really sees wildlife rescue and rehabilitation.
From ARC Admin:
“...none of these activists [carers] have actually done anything. They are wanting us to do it for them. They dont run a charity or an NFP, they dont even run businesses. Half of them are unemployed, no work ethic or skills, they havent created anything that helps anyone else, their entire contribution to society is posting on facebook.”

Animal Rescue Cooperative - PLEASE STOP HANDING OUT KANGAROO MEAT!

For most of last year we have been telling Animal Rescue Cooperative to stop handing out free kangaroo meat to pet owners.

We have told them repeatedly about the cruelty involved in this barbaric industry.

We have told them that by handing out free kangaroo meat, they are creating demand for more kangaroo meat, which will only ensure more kangaroos are slaughtered.

Have ARC listened? Have they stopped? NO THEY HAVE NOT!

Instead ARC are using tape to cover up any reference to kangaroo meat on the products they handout.

ARC obviously do not care about the suffering of our gentle and beautiful kangaroos. ARC think that promoting a kangaroo shelter, carer or sanctuary here and there will cover up what they are actually doing - promoting the barbaric slaughter of our kangaroos for pet food.

Disappointingly, it appears some kangaroo carers and shelters are prepared to look the other way when it comes to killing kangaroos for pet food, as long as they get given some cash. As a kangaroo carer myself, I know how hard it is to get funding, but what does accepting funding from ARC ultimately cost? What about the kangaroos that are horribly maimed and die slow agonising deaths? What about the joeys that have their heads bashed in, or the ones left to starve, or be ripped apart alive by feral foxes and dogs? What about the families and mobs that are savagely annihilated? All that suffering to provide cheap meat for pet food manufacturers! Is this the way we help and care for our unique kangaroos?

We know ARC don’t care about wildlife carers. They have been relentlessly denigrating and bullying us online just because we raised legitimate concerns about them handing out free kangaroo meat.

Heres what ARC admin posted on Facebook recently about us.

Is this how a charity with public donations is supposed to behave?

It was very sad day for our wildlife when WIRES partnered with ARC. This arrangement has done little to help our wildlife and has placed many good kangaroo carers in a difficult position.
