Hi Gardeners

After a week of gentle rain and cooler days our Summer crops are lush and abundant. The insect life is also thriving!

Sadly six chard plants were scissored to the ground. These plants can continue to provide leaves for many months if only a few leaves are picked from each plant. 👨‍🌾

All the beds were fertilised with Nutrisoil and worm tea from our own worm farms.
Chard, Lettuce, Spinach, Snow Peas and lots of Sweet Peas were harvested. 👨‍🌾

Hi Gardeners ,

Today we harvested chard, baby spinach, daikon radish, snow peas and picked bunches of sweet smelling sweet peas.
Beds were prepared for Summer crops and we appreciated a visit from Tim from The Food Farm who encouraged us to use worm tea to increase the microbes in our soil. 👨‍🌾

Hi Gardeners

Ten gardeners braved the cold wind this morning to fertilise our Winter food crops, prune the Elderflower tree, prepare the pots for chillies, fed the worm farms, tended the compost bins. We were rewarded with a good harvest of Broccoletti, radishes, lettuce, spinach and the first 🫛 snow pea! Thanks everyone J👨‍🌾

Thanks everyone. After a few weeks of focusing on maintenance the garden is looking splendid.
This morning we topdressed the paths with cypress mulch —we didn’t harvest much today but a walk through the garden is a sensory joy atm. 👨‍🌾
