I seen a fellow taxidermist with faulty meat suit introduction post and id love to share mine.

It's not all glam and joy giving a new meaning and life to an animal that time was cut short. Sometimes it's absolute fu***ng s**t! A c u next Tuesday if you know what i mean. That's why sometimes i have to cross that traditional taxidermist line and have fun.
Be weird make a character, swear a little and give no s**ts.

A little excited for this one.
Gots an itch
Test fit for a female coyote, having a scratch.
Im never been a fan of simple poses, i like a challenge. My body really hates me for it.
It's cooled, so my heart stopped screaming. Why idk, no complaints here, ill enjoy the peace.

Making s**t work!!
I kicked fear in the butt yesterday. Sadly when you're heart is tachycardia it f***s with your brain. I used my fleshing machine for the first time.
My risk assessment was telling me, it wasn't safe to use due to my new symptoms. Dizzy and tachycardia don't go near fast spining blade of no fingers 😅

Nothing like wrong timing.

Flood warning for the next 3 days with 300mm expected.

Making Progress!!
My goal for this year was learn, how to sculpt and mold my own forms.
Weather has cooled so i got a break from my disabilities disabling me. Well one of.

Fawn lifesize, which will then be altered again to suit black buck fawns.

No matter how small of a step, you're still moving forward! What matters is you made the attempt.

Taxidermy Raw & Green
"Heat after Expo"

Why do i feel these will be little storys 😅. That shall start with "these are the days of our life's" cue 90s child sick day tv .💀

The plan was a 2 week break after the expo. Well things happened and Aussie heat waves set in. So that break continued and led to mental games. But first step was to acquire more animals, the freezer was empty.

I lost my 20yo cat just prior and i wanted to see if i had the ability to work on my own animals. So in the freezer she went. She kept getting put off. While working through that I decided to foster kittens. To help with the helping alive lifes to the dealing with dead lifes ratio.

Then the heat came.... we all know meat doesnt go to well in the sun, well neither does this redhead nor the animals. Cue more mental games and lack of wanting to start projects.

All while in, i was actively searching and trying to get contacts for more animals. At some point grief hit me and the realisation of all the deaths. I felt like some murder or a contributor as the mind set was "must fill the freezer". I question it all. Even though "ethical" it felt wrong! Normally i let animals come to me, or they pop up throughout the year. Instead of hustling for the bodies, all at once 😪.

So i gave myself time!
I allowed myself to process my cat, enough to get relieve from knowing her organs were bad.
AND i played with KITTIES 😸.

My main aim for my page is to be raw and transparent, about making art from death.

So with that lets start a little segment? Whatever you call it.
Taxidermy raw and green.
Because it all basically starts from a raw body and a "green" skin.

Warnings these posts, will probably long with me rambling on, not making much sense.😅 I shall blame the chronic fatigue brain.

Even in death, lies beauty. A sad part of nature, sometimes you're born sleeping.

Wet preservation is a thing that has been done for 100s of years. Scientists can study them and us odd collectors can adore them. Giving them a live they never had.

Disarticulated compete minus toes.

This little guy came from a zoo in America and sadly didn't thrive. His skin was mounted and I was able to acquire his cleaned bones.

No permits needed for this little guy. But being so small he is very fragile.

Such a weird and alien like skull. Add to the argument of are we drawing dinosaurs wrong.

Will be available at the oddities and curiosities expo. Can come with complete neck vertebrae. Make that awesome bone wall mount! Or can be commissioned completed wall or table display.

Ending the year with a bang. I'll have a stall at Sydney 2/12 -3/13 the first Australian show .

It's been hectic, trying to make awesome things for all you guys! From taxidermy, wet specimens and skulls. Guys I even have a complete Juvenile Capybara skelly!

Still trying to learn this social media thing 😉😅

Let's show you all a little progress snapshot of an antique Dorcas Gazelle taxidermy mount to a Perfect 👌 skull specimen.
Oh boy what a mission this was, I was ready to give up ( I actually did). But after a year he was a New Boy.

With shock I discovered this mount was indeed mummified with painted beads pushed into the eye sockets 🤢. Got knows how it pass customs and the bad chemicals involved. Pre 1900s
