Sydney it will reach 46+ ♨️tomorrow❗️❗️❗️please have a plan for your dogs if you’re at work. Preferably inside in cool air cold tiles. Plenty of water / shade. Heat stroke kills especially our Brachy babies.
Yesterday we had a couple of dogs with heatstroke, thankfully with medical treatment they survived. Pups, flat faced and overweight dogs are most at risk but any dog can suffer from heatstroke. Keep your dogs as cool as possible, don't take them out! Heavy rapid breathing, thickened saliva, bright red or blue gums, vomiting, high internal temperature can lead to collapse and sudden death.
If you find your dog in this condition, put him/her in a cool place, hose him/her and seek medical help immediately!
