Just gauging some interest, I know a lot of people on here keep koi, but as most would know that's not all we do. Looking at getting a shipment of freshwater stingray pups, who would be interested in something different?

Some info about Butterfly Koi or Longfin Koi ⬇️

Butterfly koi, longfin koi, or dragon carp are a type of ornamental fish notable for their elongated finnage. The fish are a breed of the common carp, Cyprinus carpio, which includes numerous wild carp races as well as domesticated koi (nishikigoi).

Longfin koi or Butterfly koi are a beautiful addition to any pond for the following reasons:

(1) An absolute stand out in a pond with their long flowing fins (which grow with age).

(2) Are genetically more robust and immune to a lot of fish diseases due to their closer relation to wild ancestors.

(3) Not many people have them, they are more unique.

Common misconception: "They aren't real koi"
This is a heavily debated topic, but they share such a genetic similarity they can breed with normal koi and produce healthy strong offspring. So if they weren't real koi why would they be able to do this?!
