Hi, Iā€™m Quince,

Iā€™m a sweet kitten whose a little shy but also a little playful! I am looking for a home with a family who is patient and kind, a family who will allow me to blossom & grow.

I grew up on the streets and didnā€™t have much interaction with people before coming to the facility however I am learning to trust ā€“ I can be a little reserved at first but I have an easy-going nature which makes interacting with me a good experience for us to bond.

Just like all kittens, I should be fed kitten food multiple times a day to ensure I grow big and strong.

Iā€™d really love a calm and quiet household, or at least an area of the home that is just mine where I can safely retreat to when things get a bit too much for me. I dream of a home with a cat tower that I can climb, and lots of windows that I can sunbathe under. I hope thereā€™s lots of toys to play with in my new home!

If youā€™ve got other animals at home, thatā€™s okay, just make sure we have a slow introduction to give us the best chance at getting along.

Iā€™m also already litter trained, but itā€™s best to teach me again when we get home.

I should be strictly indoors only; going back outside is just not for me!

Do you have the space in your heart & home for a sweet bundle of joy like me?

Post-Adoption Life: With all animals itā€™s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. Itā€™s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animalā€™s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask if that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.

Hi, Iā€™m Olly,

I am looking for a home with a family who is patient and kind, and show me that there is no need to be afraid of humans.

Hi, Iā€™m Abbott,

All that we ask if that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.

šŸŽ„CHRISTMAS AT THE ACFšŸŽ„

On the third day of Christmas my true love sent to me...

A very stoic looking Solstice, whose Christmas dream to be adopted into Hollywood. She believes that, a cat as good looking as her, deserves an Oscar.

āœØFEEL GOOD FRIDAYāœØ

We took the time to chat with Avikash who adopted from us on 30th September 2023. Avikash adopted Marshall (ID: 35300), now named Buddy, and hereā€™s what he had to say!

šŸ¾Tell us about Buddy: Buddy was born on the 23rd December making him not only a Christmas baby but also a Capricorn. Buddy is Shar Pei X and he always looks much bigger in photos then he really is.

I lost my wife and her loss made me feel like I was heading towards darkness. I felt that I needed something in my life to overcome the loss. Thatā€™s when I thought of adopting a pet. I went around to many places but when I came to Campbelltown ACF I spoke to this beautiful, lovely, friendly lady who helped me choose a dog.
It was love at first sight. Being with Buddy changed my life. There is someone to come home to now, seeing him, playing with him [it] makes my day.
Even the kids and elders love him so much. He completely changed my life.

šŸ¾How did you find our adoption process?
Adoption process went so well. And I was explained in detail how to adjust with him for few days, his feeding methods etc . But trust me, just arriving at home he went around adjusting himself [haha] and after a few hours he was settled & playing. Staff gave me a lot of information during the adoption process.

šŸ¾How is Buddy doing post-adoption?
Just in an hour he was ok after I brought him home.
I was worried at night that he might cry due to being in a new place so he slept with me in my bed, snoring away, which was funny but I couldnā€™t sleep cause he snored very loudly. He was up in the morning bright & early & I took him for a short walk around the block.

šŸ¾What do you love most about Buddy?
Everything! Best thing thatā€™s happened to me!

šŸ¾Were there any challenges post-adoption? If so how did you manage these challenges?
His first bath ā€“ it was bit of a struggle as he refused to have one. So I had to get wet with him and played in his pool with him to bath him. Thatā€™s when he relaxed and had his first bath. Now he loves them so much that he wants to have one every week. So I fill up his pool & we add a little bit of dog shampoo and soap him up. He loves it. We rinse off with clean water & I blow dry him & he gets so excited for that too.
He doesnā€™t like to be inside all day. Prefers to be active with his toys outside. But due to hot weather I have to force him to stay inside.

Thank you so much Avikash for sharing your experience!

If you have adopted from us feel free to send us a PM so we can have a chat about your experience!
