We’re so excited to share the incredible news: Tahvo, have officially earned his Australian Championship title! 🎉

For those who haven’t followed their journey, let’s just say it’s been an adventure filled with hard work, dedication, and a whole lot of love. Rae and Tahvo didn’t just step into the dog show world—they embraced it, learning and growing with every competition.

From their first steps into the ring to the moment Tahvo stood proudly as a champion, it’s been amazing to watch this dynamic duo develop such a strong bond. We all knew Tahvo had that special something—his charm, and that undeniable spark (and bark 😜)—but reaching this level takes more than just good looks. It requires teamwork, discipline, and the ability to handle all the ups and downs of competition.

Raes.Lappies, you’ve shown incredible patience and perseverance throughout the entire journey. Whether it was long drives to shows, handling Tahvo’s energetic personality, or competing against seasoned handlers, you never gave up. You made it look fun, even when things got tough.

And Tahvo! What a star! He took to the ring with grace and confidence, proving he has what it takes to be a true champion. His ability to shine under pressure, Tahvo was always ready to give it his best.

The bond between Rae and Tahvo is something truly special. It’s clear this wasn’t just about winning titles—it was about enjoying the journey, learning together, and creating memories that will last a lifetime. The Australian Championship is just the cherry on top of a journey full of heart.

So, here’s to Rae and Tahvo, our newest Australian Champions! We couldn’t be prouder of everything you’ve accomplished, and we can’t wait to see where the next adventure takes you. Whatever you two take on next, we know you’ll do it with the same passion and joy you’ve shown throughout this journey.

Over the weekend, our team traveled to Victoria to participate in the final working pack dog event of the year.

The competing dogs were Romeo, Helena, Crash, Primrose, Moose, and Sophie. Regrettably, Sophie began feeling unwell approximately 2 kilometers into the event, prompting us to remove her pack for her comfort, though she continued walking with the team.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Raes.Lappies for hosting the team and joining us on this crazy adventure.

The event encompassed 6 dogs, 3 humans, 17 kilometers through Mount Macedon which is the hardest track in Australia for this event.
Well over 1500 kilometers in tha car over 3 days.

We eagerly anticipate next year's events!

Both gained thier final points today to be now known officially as Champions (pending DogsNSW).

We are super grateful to both Daisy's and Kodak's owners for allowing them to be shown and keeping them is such lovely condition.

The past weekend saw the Orical team out and about in ACT, NSW and VIC.

Firstly in ACT!!! Some very exciting news and we could not be prouder of Brie and Chris's dedication and now mentoring a new exhibitor.

🍄Saffron🍄 Pending Dogs NSW has gained her final points for her Australian Championship in style taking out all 4 challenges on offer.

🏹Skadi🏹 at her second weekend of shows turned up the heat in the freezing conditions. Taking all 4 reserve challenges. Already getting the hang of things

✈️ Maverick ✈️ secured reserve dog challenge and runner up best of breed at all 4 shows.

In VIC
🍟Chip🍟 Was awarded Best of breed and Puppy in group in a competitive line up.

💎Onyx💎 Was awarded baby if breed and Baby in group

In NSW

🌷Primrose🌷 Took out 2 of the three Best of breeds on offer. Converting one to Ausbred in group and at the last show of the weekend taking our BIG2nd

💥Crash💥 took out all three dog challenges on offer converting one to a Best of breed

💎Jasper💎 3 out 3 baby in groups and converting them to baby in groups

We could not be prouder of all the owners and handlers!

What a Team!

Skye and Sunny competed on the weekend In Rally Advanced placing first and adding another qually under her belt.

Unfortunately the weeks rain event saw all sports cancelled :( meaning all the lure coursing events didn't go ahead.

The show scene still went ahead.

In Victoria

🍀 Maeve was reserve challenge and runner up best of breed

☕Tahvo was also reserve challenge and junior of breed

💎Onyx was the star this weekend securing another lovely baby in group under a Swedish judge

In the ACT

✈️ Maverick smashed in 4 out of the dog challenges on offer converting all of them to Best of breed.

🍄Saffron took out 5 of the 6 challenges on offer. She's really starting to mature!

🏹 Skadi at her debut shows entered at only two of them took out a reserve challenge and a challenge. Congratulations Jess!

In NSW

💥Crash took out Best of breed

🌹 Primrose was awarded the challenge

💎Jasper is growing like a w**d and had a glorious time making new friends

🏵 Alma on her second weekend out in Neuter took Neuter of breed!

Over the weekend Orical gained a new 🏆Champion🏆

💫 Possum finished off her Championship title in style taking out all 5 Best of breeds on offer, an Aus bred in group and at the final show taking of Best in group!!

☕Thavo strutted his way to a lovely reserve challenge
💎 Onyx won many hearts around the ring taking out another baby of breed
🍷Maverick was reserve challenge and one show and Dog challenge and runner up best of breed at the other.
🍄 Saffron was reserve challenge behind Possum.

In the sports ring over to lure coursing

Aalto and Charley gave lure coursing a go! It was a difficult course and wet. With the second runs cancelled due to conditions.

Alma continued knocking up the quallies needed for her coursing ability title.

On Saturday Miss Alma made her debut to the confirmation ring! She did not disappoint. Strutting her way to a Neuter Best of breed in the AM show and Runner up Neuter of Breed at the PM show.

Then on Sunday Alma completed in Lure coursing gaining a Qualification towards her Coursing ability title.

Congratulations to Emily Garnett in piloting Miss Alma to her amazing wins.

The rest of the Orical crew stayed put at Albion Park in the confirmation ring.

🍄Saffron had a small break from the show ring while she was in season, retuning this weekend. Maverick was super excited to get his side kick back. Cannon and Payne are very happy to have her back again.

It was a soggy weekend for all. But everyone still had a blast. The dogs weren't phased by the rain, puddles or mud! The humans were a little more precious about it! 😂

🌷Primrose travelled to Victoria for the international shows. Melissa Sparrow and Amber Frankland both got to take Prim for spin!

This weekend saw Georgia Tinker and Melo hit the ring together in Tasmania.

Emily and Alma jumped their way all the way to achieving a Novice jumping title over the weekend! They also gaining two passes in Novice agility.

Can't wait to see what Emily and Alma have planned next!

In the conformation ring

Onyx and Amber attended their first show together. Strutting their way to Baby in Show!!!! First shows can be daunting for babies. Amber has done a great job preparing Onyx for his adventures.

Katrina took Primrose, Kodak and Jasper out over the weekend. Primrose was awarded Runner up Best in Group (BIG2) with 95 dogs entered.

We would like to thank the entire team for their dedication to the breed.

Many traveling long distances to support Team Orical. The royal is a high-pressure environment add in the Specialty and many other factors out of our control. Everyone showed great sportsmanship and support for one another.
