Ensuring the health of a Doberman puppy is crucial, as it lays the foundation for the dog's long-term well-being. Here are key aspects to focus on for a puppy Doberman’s health:
Nutrition.
________
Proper diet is essential for growth and development. Doberman puppies need a balanced diet rich in high-quality proteins, fats, vitamins, and minerals to support their rapid growth and energy needs. Be mindful of portion sizes and avoid overfeeding to prevent obesity and joint issues.
Vaccinations.
___________
Like all puppies, Dobermans need a strict vaccination schedule to protect them from common diseases like distemper, parvovirus, and rabies. This is essential for building a strong immune system.
Deworming.
__________
Regular deworming is necessary for controlling parasites like roundworms and hookworms, which can harm a puppy’s digestive system and overall health.
Exercise.
___________
While Dobermans are an active breed, it’s important not to over-exercise them while they’re growing. Their joints and bones are still developing, so short, gentle play sessions are ideal to avoid injury.
Training and Socialization.
______________________
Mental stimulation and socialization are important for a puppy's overall health. Early training helps prevent behavioral issues later, while socialization reduces anxiety and aggression.
Dental Health.
____________
Regular dental care from an early age helps prevent gum disease and tooth loss. Offer chew toys and, if possible, start brushing their teeth to promote good oral hygiene.
Veterinary Checkups.
__________________
Regular vet visits ensure that your Doberman puppy is growing properly and allows for early detection of potential health issues, such as hip dysplasia or cardiac conditions, which can affect Dobermans.
By providing proper care and attention during their EARLY months, you can help ensure your Doberman grows into a healthy and well-adjusted adult dog.
All of this can be complete and on going support i

Please understand this‼️
Veterinarians that DO scan microchips but do NOT immediately check main registries prior to conducting any type of service upon visitation to prove ownership of the animal bought in on the day, several negative consequences can arise if the animal bought in is stolen or listed as lost…..
Delayed Reunification.
___________________
The primary purpose of microchips is to reunite lost pets with their owners. If a vet doesn’t scan for a microchip, the dog may not be identified quickly, leading to delays in reuniting the dog with its rightful owner.
Increased Burden on Shelters.
_________________________
Without scanning for microchips, dogs found by good Samaritans or authorities may end up in shelters. This places additional pressure on already overcrowded shelters, as the dogs will remain there longer than necessary.
Facilitation of Pet Theft.
____________________
If stolen pets are not scanned for microchips during routine veterinary visits, it allows the thief to claim ownership of the pet. This enables the continued unlawful possession of the stolen dog without detection.
Owner Distress.
_________________
For pet owners, losing a dog can be an emotional ordeal. If veterinarians fail to check microchips, owners may lose hope of ever being reunited with their pet, leading to emotional and psychological distress.
Legal Implications.
________________
Many regions have laws requiring that vets check for microchips, especially if they suspect a pet may be lost or stolen. Not scanning a dog could potentially breach legal obligations and raise liability issues.
Missed Opportunity for Responsible Ownership.
_________________________________________
Scanning for microchips also ensures that pets receive proper medical care, as records tied to the chip can provide a history of treatments or conditions that vets should be aware of when treating the animal.
In summary, failing to scan microchips and check the main r

NSW Digital Pet Registry for owners and breeders is now live‼️
The new NSW Pet Registry first release for owners and breeders was released 2nd of July along with the enhanced Office of Local Government Pet Registry website.
The website is designed to offer owners and breeders up-to-date information to assist with understanding their pet ownership responsibilities. This is now linked to Service NSW.
Visit and register your pet https://petreg.nsw.gov.au/
Who pays registration, and when?
ALL PET CATS AND DOGS in NSW must be registered on the NSW Pet Registry by 12 weeks of age.
Registration fees are paid by a new owner and are due as soon as transfer of ownership is confirmed.
When a breeder is submitting a change of owner form to council for an animal under 12 weeks of age, they are not expected to pay registration fees.
Breeders must only pay registration when a pet still in their ownership reaches 12 weeks of age.
Visit petregistry.olg.nsw.gov.au. to learn more about your responsibilities as a pet owner or breeder. You can help build a community that cares for our best furry friends

🇦🇺 🇦🇺🇦🇺 Breed Advisory Committee 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
In its quest to focus on what’s best for dogs, the Master Dog Breeders and associates establishes breed advisory committees.
These committees focus on the health, welfare, and promotion of breeds and advise the MDBA of any testing the committee believes breeders should undertake on their breeding and welfare of pedigree dogs.
The committee will also advise the MDBA on any issues known or emerging in the breed.
This is an excellent opportunity for breeders to influence the breed's issues of interest and become the caretakers of the breed’s health, welfare, and future.
Breed Advisory committees always focus
on what is best for the breed regardless of the breed standard.
At least one Breed Health Liaison Officer will be elected from the Committee members.
If you are interested in being part of a Breed Advisory Committee, the MDBA welcomes your
application.
To apply, you must:
• Be a financial MDBA breeder full member
• Send to the MDBA an application containing details of your:
•Experience in the breed
•Views regarding the breed and its future
•Understanding of any issues in the breed and how your knowledge will assist in
helping remove these issues from the breed
•Commitment to focusing on what is best for this breed above all other
considerations
•Agreement for your desire to keep up-to-date with issues affecting the breed and
genetic tests available for the breed specific.
The MDBA Board will assess applications, and members will be appointed to ensure the committee includes a broad range of new and experienced breeders.
Applications and any questions are to be sent via email by the 1st of August 2024 to
[email protected]
