Our "New Year, New Job" workshop on February 12th was a huge hit! Young people came to Ashfield to learn all about finding a job. We talked about online and in-person job hunting, from writing resumes to using job websites. Everyone got to ask questions and learn tips from experts. It was great to see so many people excited about their future careers!

Thanks to everyone who came and our awesome community partners. Because this workshop was so successful, we're planning more events like it soon! Stay tuned for updates on our website and social media so you don't miss out. We hope to see you at the next one!

One smile features prominently across the Port Macquarie office signage. It’s Supported Independent Living client Earl, who has been a familiar face at New Horizons since 2019.

This year has been full of exciting milestones for Earl. He’s particularly proud of attending his day program and forging new friendships. A highlight of his year was undoubtedly his trip to Brisbane, where he cheered on his beloved New Zealand Warriors. The thrill of watching his favourite footy team play live has ignited a desire for more travel adventures in 2025, with hopes of catching another Warriors game high on his list.

"New Year, New Job", is an upcoming workshop that is happening at 4pm on Wednesday 12th February at headspace Ashfield 🌟

"New Year, New Job", is an upcoming workshop that is happening at 4pm on Wednesday 12th February at headspace Ashfield 🌟

It's FREE and is open to all young people aged 12-25! 🎉

This workshop is all about online job searching and how to navigate different methods to ensure your success. It will feature provider spotlights from services that help you find and prepare for a new job, like TYFU and Dress for Success and employers from the Sydney East Metro region will be attending to host a quick informal meet and greet at the end of the session that could lead to immediate job opportunities🤩

The workshop will be youth focused, interactive, fun and accessible, with copies of the slides available for your reference after the presentation👍

We're proud to share that our Gosford Creations Sewing Group completed over 130 mastectomy drainage bags for Hospital In The Home (NSW Health) Program! We had a mixture of skills from confident sewers to people who were learning along the way, or could assist with cutting. Huge thanks to everyone who donated fabric, time, and skills ❤️
