Bubba loves playing chasing with little dogs at the dog park!
Having a good livestock guardian is all about the blood lines and upbringing! Look at this little beauty! He is the grandson of one my former boys! I’m taking enquiries on him now!
How fast they grow! These are Thor Juniors latest puppies! Some of these puppies are coming up Sydney to farms around me to protect livestock! This is how you bring maremma puppies up, amongst the stock from when they can walk, and also making sure they are well socialised with humans! I have 2 maremmas from Narelle who breeds from Thor Junior (he was my first male that I bred)!
How my morning starts! I call her from about 80 metres away and she runs to me for her milky!
If my kids did this to me when they were feeding I’d kick them off! This is my parents new baby calf born!
Look how gentle and tolerant Stella is with Bubba! He normally grabs her tail and pulls it as well when he wants to play! He is literally learning from her and his nature is as beautiful as hers! Maremmas are such gorgeous dogs!
I always forget how cute they are until I get more! These 2 little boys are Thor’s grandsons! One is going to his new home today and the other one stays here to continue his livestock training until he finds his forever home! Pm me if you want to find out more!
Maremma puppies have to be one of the cutest puppies ever! This is Thorin and he is the grandson of Thor senior who I owned and the son of Thor junior who was my first ever breed puppy! He is being picked up today by his new owner so I’m making the most of my time with him while he plays with our Japanese spitz and mini daushund!
After being stabled for 4 days or so the excitement is real when I open the door and let them out!
Isabella starts her day off with first her bottle at about 7.30am when she comes out of her night shelter! She still has 5 bottles a day ending when I go to bed which is about 11-11.30pm at night!! She just loves them and comes running to me when she sees me coming! I get to have a beautiful cuddle with her at every bottle time! She’s just so adorable!
This is how maremma puppies should be raised! Taught their job from the moment their eyes open with mum teaching them who they have to protect!
Just born this morning!! I thought she must not have been pregnant as the other baby was born so long ago! Obviously she went overtime! Another beautiful healthy boy!
When your maremma who is between 50-60 kilograms decides she won’t move!! She’s as heavy as me so I have no chance of getting her to move til she’s ready to move!! Normally she loves going in with Thor!
Oh how sweet is my new bubba born late yesterday afternoon!
Happy new year!! Let’s hope 2022 is easier than 2021!! Did you know chickens and maremmas love prawns! YES feed your prawn heads and skins to your chickens and dogs! They find them super yummy!
This is a video of the 5 puppies coming up in December (just before Christmas) from Happy Canines! 3 puppies were desexed on this day and you can see how well recovered they are! If you dont plan on breeding from your dogs early desexing at this age is recommended as it prevents unwanted pregnancies if you have an entire make dog around and it’s much easier on the puppy having it done early than waiting until they are fully grown! It does not affect their growth in any way! I have documents to support this and I highly recommend it! Look at how beautiful and well socialised these puppies are!
The chickens free ranging!
Now Prince and Sasha! How good has all this rain been! Plenty of beautiful grass growing for the alpacas!
They hear me coming down and all wait for me to feed them!
