Posted • Hey! We made lots of records this year. I even did a few gigs... one for and a few for but I’ve been sequestered in the studio most of the time. There are a LOT of people to thank. Bear with me.

Jason F**king Whalley at who recorded every damn thing I mixed this year. Legendary.
Professor (yes, PROFESSOR🎓 now, congratulations!) Sam Bennett from the ANU who is a gun audio engineer, Pro Tools troubleshooter and a second set of ears on most mixes I construct.

All the bands who have entrusted their hopes and dreams in our little team, who have recorded and/or released records with us this year. I apologise in advance if I missed anyone out or whatever. In no particular order:
, Numbskull, , .r.controlled, , , , , , , , , , , , Crapulous Gee Gaw, Chinese Burns Unit, , , , , , , , , , Mutley, Suppressant... That’s close to the lot I think!

Also, as I have moved from the unique challenges of live audio to the unique dark arts of the studio in recent years, I am regularly turning to the people who provide information, updates on recording technology and techniques, the educators online, my go-to podcasters and YouTube channels who share so much information and cut through the sea of crap out there with wisdom and truth bombs. (saved my ass a pile of times)
And thank you to everyone who buys records, buys music from pages, everyone who goes to shows, puts on shows, promotes music, all the mastering engineers who polish our turds!
It was a productive year. There’s a lot more to come. Have a lovely holiday everyone and if you’re in Australia I sincerely hope you are not impacted by t
