Maria is an excellent dog trainer. Our 3 year old tough little staffy was highly excitable on walks, with people and with other dogs but Maria taught us invaluable techniques that not only trained us a dog owners, but also helped us wrestle back control. Immeasurable results in space of time. Would absolutely recommend MwM for dogs of all shapes and sizes 🐕‍🦺

10 year old Bertie has just found his new home. His mum was smart enough to think ahead and book a session for 2 days after he arrived, so is getting on top of some not-so-great behaviours that were already becoming apparent 🥰

At 8 weeks old, and being in his new home for only 2 days, this is the perfect time for Kodak to have his puppy lesson. Early training means that bad habits can be nipped in the bud (even after just 2 days, there can be a lot of those!), and some good structure put in place to help him succeed with toilet training and separation 🥰

In contrast to old school training with check-chains, or the increasing prevalence of shock collars or pronged collars (why would you do that to your fur-friend?!!), at Mutts with Manners we encourage wide collars and good technique. Tug of war with your dog via a collar is unnecessary, so good technique gets on top of that, and a nice wide collar diffuses any pressure on our dog as much as possible, minimising hurting our fuzz-buddy. It'll be a hot day today for our doggas (and birdlife!). We can put iceblocks in their waterbowls, set up the paddle-pool, walk them under the shade of trees, etc. Be careful of those hot footpaths, however, and also be careful on beaches, as we have a lot of Blue Bottle jellyfish on the beaches today. Have a wonderful day 🥰

I've been contacted by someone who as 2 x 8 week old American Staffy pups. He contacted me because wants good, gentle homes for them where they'll be well-trained and cared for (they don't need to be homed together). Although this photo isn't of their dad, he's and example of an AmStaff who has been raised well. Contact me if you're interested (best to email [email protected])
