Are you the kind of person that can't wait to show photos of your pets to people you just met? Yeah, same! That's me in the page's profile photo. At least, that was me before the pandemic. I have a little more padding these days and sadly all four of those dogs have passed away in the five years since that photo was taken (but we've foster failed two more so I'm still a crazy dog lady, don't worry

!). With so many losses in such a short space of time the importance of capturing memories of our dogs has never become more apparent to me. People often ask when is the best time to book a session? Now. Now is the best time. Whatever age they are there's no better time than today. Don't put it off, tomorrow is never guaranteed. I've never had a client say they wish they'd waited but I've had lots say they wish they hadn't. If you want to see more photos of my dogs you can follow the on Instagram. Potato went home last week. He left with a brain full of new knowledge and experiences and the foundations to grow into a really lovely dog. He also left with a modelling portfolio, an intro to my dogs' agent and a massive bag of notes and goodies.

We miss him but we're looking forward to our next student. Please spread the word if you know anyone who needs some help raising their puppy. We still have availability over the holidays for any breed under 6mos.

I'm looking for a dog to feature on a new product my lab launched recently, which will be displayed at my studio.

Please read in full before commenting!

Dog should be:
Confident
Not camera shy or afraid of flashing lights
Have basic obedience
Any breed / size / age

Owner should be:
Very flexible with dates / times as this will be shot outdoors at sunset in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney and will possibly need to be rescheduled multiple times until the weather is just right.

Both dog and owner should be healthy and fit enough to climb across some rocks.

You will receive a premium piece of wall art (12" brushed metal framed acrylic) and the option to purchase other images, should you wish.

Comment below with a photo of your dog, their name and age. I'll be in touch with everyone privately to find out more info but there can only be one "winner". Feel free to share and tag friends.

Potato is our Pupstarts board and train client, he's been living with us since last week. Now that my studio renovations are finished I brought him in for a test shoot, to make sure everything is working as it should and ready for my next booking. All his training has paid off, he was such a great model!

Happy 6th birthday to the biggest goober, Peanut Butter / Butters / Butthead / the bulldozer / Butterball (he also answers to oi!). We celebrated a day early because it was forecast to rain today. It's ok, he doesn't know the day before his birthday is not his birthday!

He had an outing to his favourite place, followed by a steak breakfast and today, if he behaves himself, I'll take him to the pet shop to pick out a toy that Ninja will probably destroy.

Hi all!

I mentioned recently that I'd passed the assessment to become a qualified puppy school instructor – my photography studio in Alexandria will now be home to puppy school and puppy daycare. It's still business as usual for Ruthless Photos and no, there won't be any puppies in the next room while I'm photographing your dog! In fact, after this weekend there won't be a next room as we'll be turning my space into one big room.

If you're getting a baby puppy, know someone getting a puppy, you breed puppies or you see someone in a Facebook group asking for puppy school/puppy daycare/puppy boarding recommendations I'd be eternally grateful if you sent them my way.

I'm currently taking bookings for early November.

Lulu's order went home at the weekend so now I can share the rest of her people's favourites. She was such a delight to work with so it was nice to hear they plan to do it again when she's older (she was only 6mos here).

A long overdue sneak peek of Lulu who came to my studio in July and did some fancy dancing for the camera!

Hullooooo! Just popping in to let you know I'm still alive and wish you all a belated happy international dogs day 😅

It's been quiet here but my life has been the opposite of quiet. The husband and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary and a couple of weeks later we had a joint 50th birthday party. A good friend came over from Ireland for the festivities so we took him (and the boys) to Culburra for a week afterwards. There are no hooning pics this time because the garden was too small and un-photogenic.

I kinda need another holiday to recover from all that people-ing but unfortunately I don't have a Sugar Daddy so I'm back at work now. Apparently we skipped Spring and went straight into summer so if you want to book a location shoot before it gets super hot, hit me up!
