We got to work in the new space and play around with what works best and how to continue making slight tweaks so we have things perfect in no time!

We had a good old belly laugh with these mischievous pet parents and their hilarious and bouncy pups. I HUGE to our graduates at in in the Inner West.

The changes we got to be a part of and embrace in each and every single one of these puppies were simply magical!

If you adopt your puppy AFTER the 13th of November it can still be a great idea to enrol and attend the first couple of classes WITHOUT your puppy there so you are prepped in advance of them coming home, so you are all clued up and prepared to tackle the toilet training and teething stage head on!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Don't hide under the covers waiting for it to be all over!!! Use it as a training opportunity!

Taking your dog out to see the neighbourhood decorations is a fabulous way to get them comfortable with the weird and unusual novelty items they may never have seen before.
Take it slow, be patient, work at their pace, make sure they are comfortable, and let them explore things when and if they are ready too.
Jeddah did a quick turn back when she saw a hand coming out of a front lawn yesterday... (Yet thought nothing of an arm hanging out of a letter box or a creepy clown standing at someone's gate... 🤷🏼‍♀️).

Advocate for them if you come across trick or treaters and support your dog throughout! If they are uncomfortable with trick or treaters, then don't engage. If your dog is comfortable and curious, then make sure the interaction is respectful and safe.

If you're staying in, then you have the opportunity to practice doorbell training!
Be ready and be proactive.

If you want to work on lowering arousal and reactions towards noises and people out the front of the home, get ready!
Use your dogs' favourite things they like and that they find reinforcing.
This could be BBQ chicken, playing fetch, scent detection games, solving interactive puzzles, snuffling for snacks, kings, lickimats, or even scrubbing up on your obedience training skills.

Halloween shouldn't be feared... make it a day your dog loves to do things with you. 🧡🧡🧡

New adventures are about to begin!

We got to swing by the new clinic, earlier today for their grand opening day! They are located in the heart of Balmain and are open to you and your pets on the 8th of October!

The grand opening had bubbles and fancy snacks, tours throughout with helpful team members explaining the behind the scenes of the vet clinic hustle and bustle, from surgery rooms, in-house pathology and testing, what the treatment area is (I like to call it the 'action room') used for, the new cat boarding wing and even... wait for it... a staff room for the team to relax (not all clinics have the space to be able to offer a proper break time area for their staff, so this is extra special and sparkly!). You got gifts bags to take home for your pets and a warm welcome like no other. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰.

to Dr. Bianca for making the huge leap into opening her own practice in a community she loves, turning dreams into reality... and totally nailing it!

Our Life Skills For Life classes are now open for enrolments!

New and improved course!

A great next step after you have survived your puppies first 6 months! With toilet training behind you and their adult teeth arriving, you now have time to think about the next step in your training!

Suitable for all ages over 6 months. Each class has a 'topic' that we focus on, from manners in the home to loose lead walking to recall.

The first class is completed online (and compulsory), and you have access to it the moment you enrol. The practical classes begin on the 14th of October.

As Spring is coming the puppy classes are selling out quicker!

Our next available spots are for a class beginning on the 24th September, 6.30pm and being held at Dogs In Town Paddington on Oxford Street.
Parking is surprisingly easy just outside the daycare.
Classes are small for personalised experience and the chance to get more attention time with your trainer. The classes are spacious and fun and we can't wait to see you there!

New Puppy classes start next week, Tuesday the 27th August at 6.10pm.

Classes are perfect for younger family members (over 7yrs) to attend with their parents as the classes start early enough to have everyone home for bedtime... or maybe it's an opportunity to have some one on one puppy and parent time.

Classes are small in numbers, so we can offer a more personalised experience for up to 3 puppies in each group.

Classes are run by an experienced and qualified instructor so we can ensure the quality of the classes to help get you and your puppy on the right track.

It's so important (if not VITAL) to fully comprehend what responsible puppy/dog raising actually involves. From the time they need (it's A LOT), to the financial commitment (costs can vary but some dogs can carry the same financial cost as a house deposit), to understanding the foundation and basic rights all animals deserve as sentient beings. Adopting animals to be part of your life, should mean that you are available to be there for their entire life.
Do your research, encourage people to truly think about the whole package... if people would post reality of what owning a dog can be sometimes then so many people would potentially think twice. The amount of people i hear say "people don't post this stuff about their dogs on social media" - 😣... Not everyone can put up with daily dog antics. And that's 100% ok. But don't go into raising a dog thinking it's all cute and relatively easy and truly have a good long think... are you REALLY able to offer everything your dog needs DAILY for the next 10-20 years...

Dogs are cool. They deserve so much better.

It takes two baby! Two little poppets growing up too quickly and slamming into adolescence 100km per hour!!

Our Life Skills For Life training programme helps our guardians learn how to put on the brakes for a little bit and help slow things down so everyone gets the chance to simply stop and catch their breath. Raising dogs can be challenging and every dog has their own individual quirks, personalities, struggles and concerns.
