Happy World Veterinary Day! We are so lucky at Willoughby Vet Hospital to have some of the most compassionate, incredible humans, who work tirelessly every day to help animals in need.
With Christmas only 10 days away (!!), our Willoughby Vet family would like to wish allllll our wonderful patients a very happy holiday. Watch the video below to see just a snippet of the wonderful furry friends that we'll be thinking of over the festive season 😘
Happy Halloween!
While today can be a treat for some, it can often play tricks on our furry friends. Remember to keep all sweet treats away from pets, especially chocolate and xylitol which are toxic to dogs.
Wishing our dear friend Jasper a very happy 15th birthday today! We are honoured to have been invited to share in the celebrations for so many years! Enjoy the special day with your incredible humans.

Let us introduce you to the bravest most gentle German Shephard ever! Samson <3
Brave Samson had an ear infection that just wouldn't clear. After trying countless types of ear medications and treatments, last week he under went an ear canal resection (where the outermost part of the ear covering the canal is removed so dirt and debris is easier to remove).
This is quite a painful surgery (carefully managed with antibiotics and pain relief), and Samson was such a trooper throughout the ordeal!
He came in today to recheck and clean the wound, and received many much deserved pats and cuddles.
We wish you the speediest of recoveries Sammy Boy :)
Tricky Harry <3
Tuesday's are for Tricks!
The wonderful and very smart Cavoodle, Harry, showed us a thing or two this morning before having his annual check and vaccinations!
He can sit, come, stay, jump over the legs, through the arms, speak on queue, spin and jump up into his owners arms! Take a look at this video which shows him doing a few of his tricks! :)
What tricks can your pup do? Feel free to share pictures and videos with us!
Scooby walks in the park!
You may recall a video we posted recently about a beautiful Labrador by the name of 'Scooby'.
To recap: Scooby had an autoimmune disease which paralysed him for an extended period of time. Our previous video showed Scooby's first steps after not being able to walk for 4 months.
Watch this recent video 6 months into his recovery showing Scooby walking around the park! He tires easily, and isn't back to 100% but is improving everyday!
Well done to Scooby, his family and Dr Zoe for caring for this beautiful boy. We look forward to the next video where he is running around! :)
