Cats Friends Of Blacktown Pound

We love kitties and have created this page to give the kitties at Blacktown Animal Holding Facility more exposure and awareness.

This page is run by volunteers, who are actively working in the community to try to find homes for the impounded cats and looking for ideas to help control the cat impounding and euthanasia rates. We DO NOT WORK for Blacktown AHF, only visit regularly to take pics and make notes to try to help these babies find homes... so as well as sharing the needy impounds we'll be using the page as a forum fo

r ideas on how to improve reclaim & rehoming rates and reducing impound numbers (working with council where we can). To adopt please contact the AHF directly. This adoption fee includes vet check, desexing, vaccinations, microchipping and lifetime registration in NSW. To rescue you must be a rescue group or associated with a rescue group that takes animals from the AHF. If you are interested in fostering one of these cats please contact the Facility via its official page or contact a local rescue group. There are 51 lost cats on the BARC web site.
42 of them do not have a photo :(
I know many of them are babies, juniors, unlikley to be "owned". But how hard is it to get a picture of any incoming cat?
I intend no disrespect to the BARC team but it is a bleak picture when almost every incoming cat and kitten has no picture.
And they are only the ones that we see put online.
